1:34 pm Parx (Race 3) – Aunt Berra 6/5 (3-star play)
The daughter of Girvin has shown up well to finish on the board in six of her ten starts to date. Those six placed efforts include three in three starts since joining the Silvino Ramirez barn with the most recent of those coming when beaten a head over six furlongs in a $10,000 maiden claimer at Monmouth Park last month. Paco Lopez, on board that day is again in the saddle and he can partner the filly to victory.
2:01 pm Parx (Race 4) – Twist Her 8/5 (2-star play)
The three-year-old showed plenty of promise in her first two starts including when losing out by a neck in a seven furlong maiden special weight at this venue in early July. Carlos Soto’s filly followed that up with her first victory when drawing nine-and-a-half-lengths clear of her rivals in a similar event over the same track and trip. The slightly shorter distance here shouldn’t inconvenience and she is selected to register a success under regular pilot Dexter Haddock.
4:26 pm Parx (Race 9) – Morethanafeeling 4/1 (1-star play)
The colt has performed well in maiden special weight contests so far in his career including when runner-up twice on the turf course here. The most recent of those efforts came over this course and distance when placing second having been overhauled late on when trying to make all the running. The son of Blame followed that up with a half-length triumph on dirt over a mile at Saratoga last month. He looks up to following up switched to turf.
