There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Thursday, including at Saratoga race track. Yesterday we nailed three winning picks out of four (including one at +500 odds), let’s strive to do it again today!

Here are three runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

1:06 pm Saratoga (Race 1) – Mo Heat -110

This regally bred pick is out of the multiple Grade 1 winner Xtra Heat. While he finished down the field in a maiden special weight here on debut he has placed on both subsequent starts in maiden claiming company including in finishing runner-up when beaten one-and-three-quarter-lengths over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Belmont Park earlier this month. The three-year-old drops in grade here and looks likely to prove hard to beat with Eric Cancel taking the ride for trainer George Weaver.

3:21 pm Saratoga (Race 5) – Shinjuku -110

Demonstrated good form when placed third three times in maiden special weight races at Aqueduct earlier this year including over a mile in April. Below that form in two subsequent starts including switched to this track when never a factor in finishing a down the field tenth over a mile-and-one-sixteenth on turf earlier this month. Drops in trip here and he can make his first start in maiden company a winning one with Manny Franco booked to ride.

4:29 pm Saratoga (Race 7) – Create Again +200

Performed well in Florida earlier this year, registering a third in a six-runner mile claiming event on the main track at Gulfstream Park at the end of April on his most recent start. He was claimed by current handler Peter Walder for $25,000 following that effort and demonstrated that he is in good heart ahead of his New York debut with a 48.06 four-furlong breeze here five days ago. Can take this on his return from a break.
