Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside with my MLB and NFL record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Tuesday:

Steven Adams (Grizzlies) under 5.5 Points (+105)

Line available at Draftkings at the time of publishing.

We only need 3 baskets to lose this one. Let’s sweat! Fortunately for us, Adams has attempted 4 shots or less in the last 7 games including staying under 6 points in 6 of those. In their most recent matchup vs Toronto this season, Memphis decided to run a small ball lineup against the undersized Raptors in the 4th quarter. We saw increased minutes from frontcourt mates Brandon Clarke, Kyle Anderson, and Ziaire Williams which resulted in Adams scoring only 2 points. In the last 5 games, we have seen Adams’ minutes drop to an average of 20 per game. The last 2 were in conjunction of blowouts but as we saw in the game against Toronto last week, Memphis went small. If Toronto can contain Adams on the offensive glass, we got a winner here.

De’Aaron Fox (Kings) over 27.5 points plus assists (-120)

Line available at Draftkings at the time of publishing.

It’s been a down season for the speedy point guard after a career year in 2020. He has a great matchup against the Lakers tonight though who struggle to defend the backcourt. They are currently allowing the 5th most points to point guards and the 3rd most assists. These two teams squared off just 3 nights ago in a 3 overtime thriller. We’ll cross our fingers for another shootout but we can get this done in regulation. Los Angeles will be without their best perimeter defender in Avery Bradley, so we’ll see more of Malik Monk and Talen Horton-Tucker; advantage De’Aaron Fox. With both teams ranking top 5 in pace and the highest total on the slate, we should be in line for a big game from the Kentucky standout.

Jusuf Nurkic (Trail Blazers) over 12.5 points (-108)

Line available at Fanduel at the time of publishing.

The 7-foot veteran is on his best scoring stretch of the season. 3 straight games of over 16 points against some of the best defenses in the league. Tonight, he gets the Pistons. Not very good on the defensive end. They start fiesty 6’8 Isiah Stewart at the 5. Stewart has allowed the last 4 centers he’s faced to go over their season average. The Detroit Pistons as a whole, allow the 7th most points to centers. Portland is coming off a disappointing 2nd half performance against Utah last night that Nurkic went for 24 points. In his previous 2nd leg of a back to back, he scored a season high 28 points against the Kings. Portland will look to build off their big man’s offensive surge in this West Coast game.
