KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Lotte Giants vs Kia Tigers ML (+112)

The Lotte Giants will try to bounce back from a tough loss on Tuesday in which they were leading 5-4 in the 8th inning before allowing 2 runs to lose the game 6-5. They will start Na Gyun-An in this spot, who has 2 appearances this season. Both were relief appearances, and he has allowed 2 earned runs in 5.1 innings. This however, will be his first start and he will be hoping to remain sharp.

With the win on Tuesday, the Kia Tigers now have a chance to get back to .500 on the season. They will counter with Han Seung-Hyuk, who has made 1 start this season. In that lone start, he allowed 1 earned run over 5.2 innings to the Hanwha Eagles. This gives him an ERA of 1.59.

The comeback win for the Tigers should give them confidence coming into this game, and with the slight edge in starting pitching, backing the Tigers looks to be worth a play.

Hanwha Eagles vs Samsung Lions ML (-136)

The Samsung Lions come into this game having won a tight game on Tuesday, beating the Hanwha Eagles by a score of 2-0. They are now just 1 game under .500 and have a great opportunity to win their second game in a row against the struggling Eagles. The Lions will start Yang Chang-Seop, who has made 1 start this season. In that lone start, he held the Doosan Bears scoreless through 6.0 innings.

On the other side, the Eagles will counter with Kim Min-Woo. He already has 2 starts this season, but it 0-1 with an ERA of 6.48. His most recent start was decent, but he only managed 3.1 innings, while allowing 1 run to the KT Wiz.

The Lions have the clear pitching advantage and even though Chang-Seop only has 1 start, he looks promising to have a good year. The Eagles almost never seem to be able to string wins together, so backing the Lions will be the play.

SSG Landers ML (-128) vs LG Twins

Another battle of the top 2 teams in the KBO will take place on Wednesday morning as the SSG Landers handled their business on Tuesday, beating the LG Twins 4-1. They have now won 9 games in a row and clearly look to be title contenders. It is still very early, but the way they are winning games in quite impressive. Looking to keep their perfect record alive, the SSG Landers will send Oh Won-Seok to the mound. He has made just 1 start this season, but it was an impressive one as he held the KT Wiz scoreless in 6.0 innings. On top of that, he allowed just 3 hits and had 8 strikeouts.

For the Twins, they will counter with Son Ju-Young, who also has 1 start this season. He allowed 1 run in 6.0 innings to the Kiwoom Heroes. He also allowed just 2 hits, but with only 2 strikeouts, this could be where the SSG Landers can take advantage.

Until the SSG Landers actually lose, continuing to back them is likely going to be the play. Their pitching has been very strong and with the best offense in the league, they can score some runs against the Twins’ pitcher who does not strikeout a ton of hitters. For that reason, backing the SSG Landers will be the play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay — which pays out at +555.
