KBO picks and predictions

Friday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz vs Lotte Giants – Under 8.5 runs (+112)

The total has to be the better play here given how both pitchers have performed against their opponents. Park Se-Woong is 3-1 against the KT Wiz this season and has an ERA of 2.42. This is over the span of 4 starts, where he has allowed 7 runs in 26.0 innings.

Ko Young-Pyo has also been elite when it comes to pitching against the Giants. He is 1-1 against them season and has an ERA of 2.08. This over the span of 2 starts, where he has allowed 3 runs in 13.0 innings.

With both pitchers having excelled this season, this is likely to be a low scoring pitchers’ duel. For that reason, backing the under will be the play here.

Hanwha Eagles vs Samsung Lions -2.5 (+104)

The Samsung Lions got an important win over the Hanwha Eagles on Thursday to move closer to the 1st place KT Wiz. The Lions now trail the KT Wiz by 3.5 games, so picking up wins against the last-placed team is almost a must. Samsung will start Won Tae-In on Friday, who is 13-5 on the season and has an ERA of 2.75.

Another loss by the Hanwha Eagles on Thursday makes it 2 in a row. They continue to sit in the cellar and have virtually no chance to climb out. The Eagles will start Kim Min-Woo on Friday morning, who is 11-9, and has an ERA of 4.28.

The Eagles are a massive underdog in this game and they really do not look to worth any kind of play here. The Lions have to be the play here because of their advantage on the mound and backing them on the run line is probably the only way to play them.

Kiwoom Heroes vs Kia Tigers ML (+108)

The Kiwoom Heroes picked up a 2-0 win against the Kia Tigers on Thursday morning to give them their 2nd win in a row. They still sit in 5th place, but are now 2 games clear of 6th place. On Friday morning, the Heroes will start Choi Won-Tae, who is 8-8 on the season, but has a concerning ERA of 4.69.

With the loss on Thursday, it takes the Kia Tigers even further outside the playoffs. Now 12.5 games behind the final playoff spot and it is very unlikely they will be able to make a late push. The Tigers will start Bo Takahashi, who has not yet recorded a decision. He has only 1 start this season, where he pitched 4.0 innings of shutout baseball.

Takahashi may not have much experience in the KBO yet, but his first start was very promising. Won-Tae on the other hand, has been very inconsistent, so backing the Tigers to win will be the play here.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +799.
