KBO picks and predictions

Tuesday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Lotte Giants ML (-148) vs Kia Tigers

The Lotte Giants ended their week with a loss on Sunday morning to fall back to .500 on the season. They will begin a new series with the Kia Tigers on Tuesday morning, looking to get back in the win column and back above .500. The Giants will start Charlie Barnes in this series opener, who is already having a solid start to the season. Barnes is 2-0 so far and has an ERA of 1.42. In each of his 2 starts, he has allowed 1 earned run, and has pitched a total of 12.2 innings.

On the other side, the Tigers will counter with Lee Eui-Lee, hoping for a better result than their 11-2 loss to the SSG Landers on Sunday, which dropped them to 3-5. Eui-Lee has made 1 start this season, a game in which he pitched 4.0 innings against the Hanwha Eagles and did not allow a run.

Both starters have looked strong to start the season, but Barnes still has the advantage here. For that reason, backing the Giants will be the play.

NC Dinos vs Kiwoom Heroes ML (-122)

It was a rough week for the NC Dinos as they lost again on Sunday morning to the LG Twins by a score of 5-3. They have now lost 2 games in a row and sit at 2-6 for the season. The Dinos will now start Song Myung-Gi to open the series against the Kiwoom Heroes on Tuesday, looking to end their losing streak. Myung-Gi is 1-0 on the season, pitching 6.0 shutout innings against the Lotte Giants in his lone start.

The Heroes come into this game having won 3 games in a row and will counter with Choi Won-Tae. He has also made 1 start this season, allowing 1 run in 5.1 innings to the LG Twins, which gives him an ERA of 1.69. Back in 2021 Won-Tae had a ton of success against the Dinos, allowing 4 runs over 21.0 innings in 4 starts.

Both starters have had success to start the season, but the past success for Won-Tae against the Dinos makes the Heroes worth a play to continue their win streak.

SSG Landers vs LG Twins – Over 8.5 Runs (+100)

Seeing that these are the best 2 teams in the KBO so far, it only makes sense that they are 1st and 2nd in both offense and defense. The SSG Landers are averaging 5.8 runs per game, while the Twins are averaging 5.1 runs per game. Defensively, the Twins are allowing 2.5 runs per game and the SSG Landers are allowing 2 runs per game. Even though they allow so few runs, the offenses should be expected to shine here. Both starters have already shown that they can allow some runs, so backing the over in a battle of the top teams in the league will be the play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay — which pays out at +509.
