KBO picks and predictions

Tuesday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kiwoom Heroes vs Hanwha Eagles – Under 8 runs (-110)

The total looks to be the better play here because of the fact that Eric Jokisch has been lights out and Ryan Carpenter has been serviceable. Carpenter is 0-2 against the Heroes and has an ERA of 3.65. This is over the span of 4 starts, in which he has allowed 10 runs in 24.2 innings.

To go along with an already fantastic season, Jokisch has also been very good against the Eagles. He is 2-0 against them and has an ERA of 1.64. This is over the span of 4 starts, in which he has allowed 4 runs in 22.0 innings.

Both pitchers have clearly had success against their opponent, so backing the under here will be the top play.

Doosan Bears vs KT Wiz – Under 10.5 runs (-115)

The total is set pretty high, likely because of the struggles these pitchers have shown throughout the season. However, Park Jong-Ki has not faced the KT Wiz once this season–which should give him a decent chance to perform well here. At least through the first part of the game because the Wiz have not seen his arsenal of pitches.

So Hyeung-Jun has had success against the Bears. This is only over 1 start, but he pitched 7.0 innings of shutout baseball. With a high total, these pitchers look to have enough to keep each other’s offenses at bay. For that reason, backing the under will be the play.

Kia Tigers vs NC Dinos – Over 10.5 runs (-115)

The total looks to be the better play because while both starters have struggled overall, they have also struggled when facing each other. Song Myung-Gi is 1-1 against the Tigers and has an ERA of 9.72 when facing them. This is over the span of 2 starts, but he has allowed 9 runs over 8.1 innings.

Im Gi-Yeong, on the other hand, has been just as bad against the Dinos. He is 0-1 against them and has an ERA of 7.90. This is over the span of 3 starts, in which he has allowed 12 runs in 13.2 innings.

The pitchers’ struggles are too much to ignore, so backing the over will be the top play on Tuesday.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +567.
