KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s five-game slate sees some of the league’s top pitchers take the mound, including former Chicago Cubs starter Eric Jokisch. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz Moneyline (-235)

The Wiz were money on Tuesday and have everything lined up for another repeat outcome on Wednesday. They are now 8-2 in their last 10 games and have averaged 6.7 runs per game during this stretch. KT is the hottest team in the league and will once again tear apart the worst KBO team. Head-to-head, KT is now 5-2 against the Hanwha Eagles and winning by an average margin of two runs per game. It’s hard to fade a team that has scored 25 runs over their last three contests. The Wiz are my favorite bet of our three-team parlay.

Doosan Bears -1.5 Run Line (-156)

Former Oakland Athletics pitcher Raul Alcantara will get the Doosan Bears’ nod on Wednesday with high hopes of once again taking down the SK Wyverns. Alcantara has been on an absolute tear during his last two starts, allowing just one earned run over 14.0 innings of works. Over his previous three starts, Alcantara has totaled 22 strikeouts to one single walk–simply incredible and dominant. Remember, the Wyverns have the worst batting average in the league and have scored the second-fewest runs. Everyone should expect another successful Alcantara outing on Wednesday.

Dinos vs. Heroes Under 9.5 total runs (-112)

The total stayed under in game one of this series, and given the starting pitching in game two I believe we could be in store for another low-scoring affair. The Heroes are the best home team in the KBO so far, averaging 5.4 runs per game. More impressively, their pitching allows just 4.7 runs in their own ballpark. Kiwoom put its pitching performance on display on Tuesday by allowing only one run to the Dinos. With the Dinos now going up against Jokisch, expect another low-scoring game. On the flip side, Sung-young Choi showed promise in his last start in which he gave up just two earned runs. It’s time for a new top dog in the KBO. The Heroes will once again shut out down the Dinos.

For those of you looking for bigger returns, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +347.
