MLB New York Yankees vs New York Mets same game parlay 7/26 (+396 odds): Aaron Judge delivers in Subway Series

New York Yankees center fielder Aaron Judge (99) during the first inning against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

The Subway Series returns on Tuesday night as the Yankees will travel to Citi Field to play the Mets. This is the first meeting of the season between these cross-town rivals, and there will be a quality pitching matchup for the series opener. The Mets need every win they can get considering they’re in a battle for first place in the NL East, and taking down the Yankees would be an impressive feat. You can catch the first pitch starting at 7:10 pm ET on TBS.

We have come up with a 2-leg parlay, which would pay out at nearly 4/1 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s take a look at each of the legs.

Aaron Judge to record 2+ bases (-115)

Yankees vs Mets under 7.5 runs alternate total (+110)

Parlay odds: +396

Aaron Judge to record 2+ bases (-115)

If the Orioles never see Aaron Judge again, it would be too soon. The AL MVP frontrunner was making the Baltimore pitching look like batting practice as he went 2-for-4 with 8 total bases on Friday, 4-for-5 with 6 total bases on Saturday and 2-for-4 with 5 total bases on Sunday. The Yankees had an off day on Monday which gave Judge an extra day of rest which is crucial down the stretch of the season. The slugger will be well-rested on Tuesday night, and he gets the opportunity to hit against a pitcher he’s had great success against. In just 7 at-bats against Taijuan Walker, Judge has 2 hits which were both home runs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he took a trip around the bases on Tuesday night, especially since he’s hit 4 home runs since the second half of the season started last Thursday. Judge has been an extra-base hit machine all season and I believe he can record at least 2 bases on Tuesday.

New York Yankees vs New York Mets under 7.5 runs alternate total (+110)

A good pitching matchup with a pitcher-friendly ballpark is the recipe for a low-scoring game. Walker has been excellent for the Mets with a 2.55 ERA through 91.2 innings this season, but he’s been at his best on his home mound. His ERA drops to 1.50 with a 0.97 WHIP in 36 innings at home, and the average game total of his 6 starts at Citi Field is 5.17 runs. His offense has usually given him the run support that he needs, but the Mets lineup may find themselves in trouble on Tuesday. They will face the lefty Jordan Montgomery which poses an immediate problem for the Mets since they rank 22nd in OPS and 23rd in slugging percentage against left-handed pitching.

Montgomery was excellent against the Astros in his first start since the break, and the Mets’ lineup is a lot less balanced than Houston’s. These two bullpens ranked 2nd and 10th in ERA in the first half of the season, and both teams had the day off on Monday, which means every reliever should be fresh and available. I expect a low-scoring game in Queens in the first game of the Subway Series.
