Tuesday features an absolutely massive 18-game slate in Major League Baseball, as three double-headers are being played. Included on the schedule is a TBS-televised showdown between the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox. Here is a look at the best same game parlay option for Astros-Red Sox, but make sure you also read our picks on the side and total for all of today’s 18 games.

Houston Astros ML (+108)

Alex Bregman to record an RBI (+160)

Nathan Eovaldi over 5.5 Ks (+134)

Parlay odds: +1127

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Alex Bregman driving in a run would obviously work well with a Houston win. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing Nathan Eovaldi to rack up his fair share of strikeouts. But even if he does, there is no reason why the Astros can’t take care of business. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Houston Astros ML (+108) over Boston Red Sox

Both the Astros and Red Sox got off to slow season starts, and only one of the two teams has looked completely different of late. Houston, the defending American League champion, has caught fire. The Astros are 12-2 in their last 14 and have tied the Angels atop the AL West. While Houston’s bats are hot, Eovaldi has not been as dominant for Boston over his past two starts as he was throughout most of April. Regardless of Eovaldi’s form, he will have his hands full with the likes of Bregman, Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez. The Astros are in the top 10 in the league in OPS despite a cold start to the 2022 campaign. Jose Uquidy has 1.00 ERA through two May appearances, so just a little bit of run support should be enough for the right-hander.

Alex Bregman to record an RBI (+160)

Bregman is 8-for-14 (.571) lifetime against Eovaldi with 3 doubles and a home run. The star shortstop has driven in at least one run in five of the last eight games, and with a very favorable matchup on Tuesday you have to like his chances of adding to those numbers. Altuve and Michael Brantley are hitting well enough in front of Bregman in the lineup and those two guys combined for three hits on Monday. There should be plenty of RBIs for Bregman on Tuesday, and it’s likely that he delivers.

Nathan Eovaldi over 5.5 Ks (+134)

Eovaldi has not pitched since last Wednesday, so he is well-rested. It’s also worth noting that Boston’s bullpen has been one of the worst in the business, so Eovaldi’s leash should not be short on Tuesday. The right-hander will likely be out there long enough to reach the six-strikeout mark. He has recorded at least six strikeouts in five of seven starts this year, so getting him at +134 to do the same in this game is a steal.
