We have a more than full 16-game slate to wrap up the week in Major League Baseball on Sunday. Prior to Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN between the Cubs and Dodgers, a trio of other California teams are taking in the field in the late-afternoon time slot.

Let’s take a look at today’s three-team mega parlay.

Giants -1.5 (+160)

Angels -1.5 (+115)

Padres -1.5 (+130)

Parlay odds: +1242

For this parlay we are going with three favorites on the run line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Giants -1.5 (+160)

The Cardinals and Giants will meet for the series finale on Sunday afternoon. San Francisco is only a couple games above .500, but it is still a solid team. The Giants will start Carlos Rodon, who is 3-1 on the season and has an ERA of 1.55 (fifth best in the MLB). In five starts this season he has allowed just five earned runs over 29.0 innings. The Cardinals are also a team off to a solid start. They are 16-11 on the season and are second in the National League Central. The Cardinals will counter with Dakota Hudson, who is 2-2 on the season and has an ERA of 3.16. While Hudson has been solid, Rodon has been elite. With the offensive performance the Giants had on Saturday, expect that to carry over into Sunday.

Angels -1.5 (+115)

After both teams sent two of their better pitchers to the mound on Saturday night, Sunday’s series finale should be a bit more of a lopsided one. It won’t be Shohei Ohtani, but the Angels will have Patrick Sandoval on the mound. His 1.29 ERA is among the best in the league and he didn’t allow a single earned run until his last outing. The lefty should fare well against the Nationals, as they haven’t had the most success against southpaws this season. Washington has the big bats of Nelson Cruz and Juan Soto, but the Angels’ lineup is one that can match them and then some. Even the most casual fans know the names of Ohtani and Mike Trout, but it is actually Taylor Ward who has done a lot of the heavy lifting this season. That trio is one of the best 1-2-3 hitter combinations in the league and one that should produce against Erick Fedde. The Nats’ starter had a solid last outing, but his overall performance is shaky at best. Two weeks ago he allowed six runs on eight hits in 3.0 innings to a Diamondbacks lineup that is far inferior to that of the Angels.

Padres -1.5 over Marlins (+130)

The Padres are just 1.5 games behind the high-powered Dodgers in the NL West and they have won eight of their last 11 games. Miami, on the other hand, had lost six in a row prior to Saturday’s victory. Things won’t get any easier for the Marlins since they have to face Joe Musgrove on Sunday. Musgrove enters this game with a 4-0 record and just seven earned runs in 32.0 innings – good for a 1.97 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. The Padres have won all five of Musgrove’s starts and have a good chance to make it six straight in this one. They have a favorable matchup against Trevor Rogers, who has been beaten around a couple times this season. He carries a 1-4 with a 6.14 ERA into this game.
