MLB Tuesday four-leg mega parlay (+1003 odds): Cardinals and Reds fly over

Joey Votto MLB parlay

Parlays make people feel fantastic. We all know that. We also know that we have some of the best cappers in the history of cappers writing for Pickswise. That’s just my opinion but I’m pretty sure history will prove me right at some point. So knowing both of these things are 100% true, why don’t we just go to the MLB page and grab a viable MLB parlay. All we have to do is look for the 2 and 3-star moves, put them together and then bam, it’s MLB parlay time. This feels like a great plan.

If this MLB parlay hits, we will always remember this day. But don’t forget, we also have picks on the side and total for all of today’s games. Parlays are only part of our arsenal. You can also follow me on Twitter just in case there’s a game or two added to the card. Be smart about this, people.

St. Louis Cardinals vs Cincinnati Reds over 9 (+100)

One of my favorite ways to start a MLB parlay is with an over and that’s just what is happening tonight. I know Sonny Gray is on the hill and he is firing on all cylinders but he didn’t look so great against the St. Louis Cardinals last time he faced them. Back on July 25, Gray gave 8 runs to the Cardinals in 3.1 innings of work. Harrison Bader, Tyler O’Neill and Dylan Carlson all took him deep that day. Gray has given up only 1 dinger since then but we don’t need him to go full implosion tonight. Miles Mikolas is on the mound for the Reds and while he is sporting a 2.70 ERA, he’s also only pitched to the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs. Last time out against the Pirates, he gave up 8 hits in only 4.1 innings pitched. The final score of that game was 11-7. I think our guys are right, this game is a good bet to go over the posted total.

Oakland Athletics ML (-118)

The Detroit Tigers are no longer an auto-fade but it doesn’t mean we have to bet on them. They are still very fadeable even with young stud, Tarik Skubal, on the hill. Skubal is my guy and he is a hell of strikeout bet at the moment but those Ks are not translating into wins. The Tigers have lost 4 of his last 6 starts with all of the losses coming to Low-T offenses. He gets to face an Athletics side tonight that hasn’t been great at the plate in the last week but they still managed to split a 4-game set with the Yankees in their last series. There is no rhyme or reason for it, but the Athletics just somehow find a way to win games. Cole Irvin will be on the mound for Oakland and in his only start against Detroit this season the Athletics won 7-0. I don’t know if another beatdown like that is coming but I think our team is right with the 2-star rating, Oakland should win this game.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 (-162)

Lucas Giolito MLB parlay

Our team slapped a 3-star rating on this one so of course it’s included in our MLB parlay tonight. After looking into it for 2 seconds, I can see why they like it. Only 3 teams in MLB have scored fewer runs than the Pittsburgh Pirates over the last 2 weeks. They’ve got a .644 OPS over that span which is a big reason why they are having a hard time putting runs on the board. Tonight they face Lucas Giolito, who hasn’t given up more than 2 earned runs in any of his last 4 starts. On top of that, the White Sox bats have been locked in recently. In the last 2 weeks, only the Tampa Bay Rays have scored more runs than the White Sox. This feels like a David vs Goliath matchup but I want no part of David in this one.

Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers under 8 (-115)

Nobody wants to bet an under but our team has to call it like they see it and this one got the 2-star nod. It is without a doubt the best pitching matchup of the night so there is that. Charlie Morton has been serviceable for the Braves this season with a 3.60 ERA. He gave up 4 runs in 5 innings of work last time out but that was against the Yankees. He’s catching a Dodgers team tonight at the right moment as they are 21st in runs scored over the last 2 weeks. Even if they do score a few, Atlanta has a top-10 bullpen over the last 2 weeks so they should hold the fort down when Morton leaves. On the other side we have the great Walker Buehler helping us out. He’s given up only 5 earned runs in his last 40.1 innings pitched. Once he’s done, he’ll hand the ball to MLB’s best bullpen in terms of ERA over the last 15 days. This game could end up being a pitchers’ duel and cashing our MLB parlay in the process.
