EPL pick today: Fulham +0.5 over Tottenham Hotspur (-140), 3:00 pm ET

Fulham’s 5-game winning streak since the World Cup was ended at Newcastle last Sunday but the Cottagers have value to get something from this afternoon’s EPL visit of Tottenham. Aleksandar Mitrovic’s missed penalty at St. James’s Park cost his team a likely point but it was a rare blip in an otherwise remarkable campaign.

Losses to Arsenal (2-0) and Manchester City (4-2) in the 8 days before visiting Fulham have made for a seriously demanding workload for Tottenham, and this isn’t easy especially with their confidence drained. Spurs beat Fulham 2-1 in September but that was when they were going well. Now the tables have turned and the home team is more than capable of claiming at least a point.

College Basketball pick today: Duke Blue Devils vs Virginia Tech Hokies – Under 137 points (-110), 7:00 pm ET

The under is the best play for this matchup because both teams have been playing high=level defense and they play at a slow pace. I do not see either team scoring over 68 points in Cassell Coliseum since both teams are giving up less than 65 points per game defensively.

According to KenPom, Duke’s defense is ranked top 35 nationally in adjusted efficiency, effective field-goal percentage, and three-point percentage. In addition, the game should be too slow for the total to go over as Duke is ranked #268 in adjusted tempo and Virginia Tech is #246. For that reason, backing the under will be the play.

NHL pick today: Dallas Stars 3-way ML over Buffalo Sabres (-110), 8:30 pm ET

Dallas is leading the Western Conference entering this game and has been at the top of the Central Division for much of the year. The Stars are coming off a smooth 4-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes. That too was at home, where the Stars have shined brightest this season.

The discrepancy here is the goaltending. Dallas is allowing the 2nd-fewest goals per game, while Buffalo allows the 7th-most. Additionally, Dallas is scoring the 2nd-most goals when on home ice this season. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the Stars are 13-5-3 when playing in Dallas. Tonight’s matchup likely won’t be a blowout like the Stars most recent game, but they can still take care of business within the 60 minutes.

NBA pick today: Memphis Grizzlies vs Sacramento Kings – Under 245.5 points (-110), 10:40 pm ET

The game total tonight opens at 245.5 points — a total which hasn’t been surpassed in the teams’ previous 3 meetings. The Grizzlies and Kings have posted totals of 235, 222, and 226 and tonight could see a similar result. The total in those games all fell under the total, and Jaren Jackson Jr.’s presence in the last 2 games made a significant impact.

Memphis is the best defensive team in the NBA with Jackson Jr. on the floor, and they lead the association with a 109.2 defensive rating. The Kings rank 25th on the season in defensive rating (114.9) but have held the Grizzlies in check for the most part. For that reason, backing the under will be the play.
