College football pick today: TCU Horned Frogs +12.5 over Georgia Bulldogs (-110), 7:30 pm ET

The Bulldogs opened as -13.5 favorites and it has been slightly bet down. As we have seen when UGA has had to step up in class over their last 2 games, its defense has been pushed to the limit. In the same manner, TCU has been in 1-score games in 4 of its last 5.

The Bulldogs will have to concern themselves with TCU wideout Quentin Johnston, who is every bit as good as Marvin Harrison, Jr. — who was routinely open throughout the Peach Bowl. The Horned Frogs have been cover darlings all season, therefore backing them to cover will be the play.

NHL pick today: Nashville Predators ML over Ottawa Senators (+100), 7:37 pm ET

It is a shock that the Predators are seen as underdogs in this matchup. The Senators have won 4 of their past 6 games, and have been home since the New Year began, but the Predators have been even better. They are 4-0-1 in their last 5 games, with one of those wins being in a 5-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. The Predators have impressed since the Christmas break, which is important because they have lots of ground to cover in the Central Division. They know they should win when facing a team like Ottawa, and with the better lineup they should be able to do so.

College basketball pick today: Oral Roberts Golden Eagles +5 over New Mexico Lobos (-110), 9:00 pm ET

The Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts step out of Summit League play for a road trip to The Pit in Albuquerque. The Golden Eagles roll into Albuquerque with 10 consecutive victories since the team’s last loss at Utah State on Nov. 22. Oral Roberts has been an underdog on three occasions, covering in just one of those instances this season. However, they’re catching New Mexico at a good time, as the Lobos have failed to win or cover in the past two outings.

Oral Roberts has posted a solid 4-0 ATS mark in the previous four games following a non-cover, while going 18-7-1 ATS in the past 26 games on the road against a team with a winning home record. As such, backing the Golden Eagles to cover will be the play.

NBA pick today: Sacramento Kings -6 over Orlando Magic (-115), 10:10 pm ET

Despite losing 3 of their last 4 games, the Kings have remained in 1st place in the Pacific Division — but only because the Clippers and Suns are on 6-game losing streaks. The Kings’ last 2 losses to the Lakers and Hawks have been by 2 and 3 points, which indicates that they tend to struggle a bit in the clutch.

De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis have the experience over the young Magic side, though, so I can definitely see them dominating tonight. Fox had 37 in the first meeting, while Sabonis finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. I’m expecting the Kings to go on a run as their next 4 games are against Orlando, Houston (twice) and San Antonio. That’s a solid opportunity to get back on track and improve their playoff seeding in the unpredictable West. For that reason backing Sacramento to cover will be the play.
