Golden State Warriors 11+ win margin (-105)

The Golden State Warriors have dropped 2 straight games on the road but return to the comforts of home tonight as they take on the Dallas Mavericks. The visitors have struggled on the road this season with a 9-16 record. They will find it incredibly tough to improve on that with both Luka Doncic and Christian Wood unavailable for the game. Spencer Dinwiddie is questionable to play, too. The hosts could be without Klay Thompson and Draymond Green with both listed as questionable, as well. However, with Stephen Curry appearing as probable to play, they should not lack firepower in their lineup. Over the last 10 games the Mavericks have been 27th in the league in defensive rating. Combined with the potential offensive drop-off that is likely to come in the absence of Doncic, and we could be looking at a blowout tonight.

Dallas Mavericks Under 107.5 points (-106)

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd will have a lot of issues compiling his rotation for tonight’s game with a long list of injuries currently derailing the Mavs’ roster. Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, Davis Bertans and Christian Wood are all out, while Spencer Dinwiddie is questionable with a knee issue. Dallas has lost all 6 games without Doncic this season and in those games they have averaged 106.3 points, relying heavily on Dinwiddie to carry the scoring load. The talented forward averaged 24 points and 8.6 assists in those games, with a high chance of him not playing tonight it will be a difficult time coming up with points for the Mavericks. Their scoring has been down over the last 4 games with just 111, 111, 100 and 99 points scored vs fairly mediocre defensive teams. The Warriors have the 4th best defensive rating when playing at home, look for them to limit Dallas’ scoring output in this one.

Stephen Curry to record 8+ assists (+200)

Curry’s assists have been up in the last 2 Warriors wins as he finished with 12 and 11 against the Thunder and Raptors. He averages 7.2 per game in wins compared to just 5.6 in losses. Against the Mavericks he has cleared this line twice in the last 3 meetings and has a good chance to add to that in tonight’s game. Dallas just allowed 27 assists to the New Orleans Pelicans in its last game, with C.J. McCollum collecting 8 dimes. I think we can all agree that Curry is a better playmaker than McCollum. My only gripe with this bet is the possibility of tonight’s game being a blowout and Curry doesn’t play enough minutes. But then again, in order for it to become a blowout early on he will need to get numbers — so getting to 8 assists sounds realistic to me. If Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are unavailable to play, I think we can count on curry to try and get the younger players involved early and often — which would help them settle into the game a lot easier.
