We are continuing the week in the NBA with an awesome 10-game slate on Friday. Two of the matchups will be televised on ESPN: Nets vs Celtics and Grizzlies vs Nuggets. The Knicks, Heat, Suns, Warriors, Clippers and Lakers are also lacing up their sneakers. Let’s take a look at my 3-team NBA mega parlay for Friday’s action.

Magic -3.5 (-110)

Suns -10.5 alternate spread (+182)

Clippers ML (+180)

Parlay odds: +1407

For this parlay, we are going with 2 favorites against the spread — 1 on an alternate number — and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Orlando Magic -3.5 over Charlotte Hornets (-110)

The Hornets are too far ahead of the bottom 3 teams to give themselves a maximum chance of winning the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes. They are also too far behind everyone else to finish with anything other than the fourth-worst record in the NBA. As such, the Hornets have no reason to purposely lose games. However, they are just naturally so bad that they will in all likelihood continue to do so. Charlotte won 3 games in a row going into the all-star break and 2 straight coming out of it, but all of those were with LaMelo Ball. He has since been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to ankle surgery. Charlotte lost at home to Orlando by 6 points last month and that was with Ball scoring 33 points.

The Magic have alternated wins and losses in their last 10 games dating back to that result against the Hornets, so they are due for a victory based on that trend since they fell at Milwaukee on Wednesday. Paolo Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr, Franz Wagner and Cole Anthony are all in fine form for Orlando, so look for the visitors to win and cover.

Phoenix Suns -10.5 alternate spread over Chicago Bulls (+182)

Kevin Durant’s debut with his new team was a success, as Phoenix took care of Charlotte 105-91 on Wednesday. Durant scored 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting, Devin Booker went for 37 and the Suns dominated even though Chris Paul scored only 2 points. In the previous matchup with Chicago this season, Phoenix rolled 132-113 on November 30 behind 51 points from Booker. There is no reason to think that the Bulls will suddenly be competitive this time around now that the Suns are even better with Durant on the court.

Chicago is without Lonzo Ball, Goran Dragic and Javonte Green, and if the regular season ended today this team wouldn’t even be in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament. I’m expecting a double-digit victory for the visitors.

LA Clippers ML over Sacramento Kings (+180)

I’m going for 2 mega parlay wins in a row after cashing my last effort at +1243 odds exactly a week ago. What game was the clincher? That would be none other than the epic 176-175 double-overtime win for the Kings over the Clippers, with my last leg being Sacramento on the +235 money line. I have no choice but to include the rematch as I look to go back-to-back. This time I’m rolling with the Clippers on the money line, as they have a good chance to turn the tables.

Last week it was Sacramento playing the second leg of a back-to-back situation; now it’s Los Angeles facing such a scenario. However, I’m not too concerned. There isn’t any significant travel involved going from Golden State to Sacramento and it’s not like the Clippers are going to take a night off mentally when they have a shot at getting revenge for last week’s crushing loss.
