March Madness is in full swing, but don’t forget about the NBA. There is an especially fun matchup on today’s schedule, as the Golden State Warriors are paying a visit to the Memphis Grizzlies. It may not be a Western Conference Finals preview based on the current state of things, but who cares? Let’s enjoy it for what it is.
Below is my SGP for Saturday’s showdown between 2 rivals who hate each other, and also be sure to check out all of our NBA picks.

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Klay Thompson draining a whole host of 3-pointers would obviously work well with both a Golden State cover and an over play. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Warriors -1 (-108)
The Warriors should have the talent and motivational advantage in this game to come out on top. It is true that their struggles on the road this season have been shocking, as they are now 7-28 away from home after dropping yet another such contest last night in Atlanta. They kept it close against the Hawks in the fourth quarter but eventually fell just short, but they were also without the services of Draymond Green — which took away a crucial part of their team. On the other side, the Grizzlies staged one of the biggest comebacks of the season last night against the Spurs, erasing a 29-point deficit to come out on top. It’s going to be tough to follow up on that max effort without any rest. Give me the Dubs.
Over 235 (-110)
The Warriors and Grizzlies have met 3 times this season, with 2 of the 3 games going under the total. Another over should be in the cards, as the fatigue factor in this game with both teams playing on the second night of a back-to-back should play a big role in the amount of points scored. The Warriors rank second in points per game and the Grizzlies are 11th. Even without Ja Morant this Memphis team has been able to fill it up. I expect the pace to be frantic, as well. These 2 Western Conference rivals despise each other. They will be going at it; you’re not going to see any walking the dog action in this one.

Klay Thompson to make 5+ 3-pointers (+185)
I’m never much of a “he’s due” proponent, but…Thompson is due. He has drained a total of just 5 triples over the past 2 games. The last time that happened was the first 2 contests of February, after which Thompson went crazy with 12 treys in the next outing and 7 in the one after that. Prior to that it happened in mid-January, after which the Washington State product went for 5, 6 and 6 long-distance dials over the next 3 games. Thompson has already made 5 3s once against Memphis this season and on another occasions he forked up 12 attempts (albeit only making 3). He should be in line for a huge day at the office.
