Dillon Brooks to score 25+ points (+280)

Brooks has had some really solid performances for the Grizzlies this month. He’s upped his average to 20.5 points compared to 17.6 in November, plus his efficiency has also gone up, both from the field and three-point land. He’s making 3.3 threes per game on average while shooting almost 39%. He had to really step up his game against Oklahoma City the other night after Ja Morant got ejected early. He finished with 32 points, including 6 threes made, proving that he is a viable secondary scoring option behind Morant, at least until Desmond Bane returns from his injury.

I think Brooks is in for another productive game tonight against the Nuggets, as he matches up with Jamal Murray, who just hasn’t been the same player defensively since returning from injury. In his last 4 games against the Nuggets, Brooks has scored at least 20 points twice, and with Denver struggling to defend the three-ball lately, I think he has the necessary tools for another highly productive game here.

Ja Morant to record 10+ assists (+130)

Speaking of productive games, Morant has had a few of those this season. Over his last 11 outings, he’s recorded double-digit assists 7 times. Getting ejected after just 16 minutes of play against the Thunder ended a 4-game streak of at least 10 assists, so tonight I’m hoping for a bounce-back performance against Denver. He’s averaging 7.6 assists in 9 career games against them, and that number has to go double-digits for them to have a chance here.

Denver isn’t known for stopping the opponents’ ball movement this season. They allow 26.4 assists per game, ranking just 27th in the NBA. That’s up to 31.7 over their last 3 games, the highest number in the league by far during that stretch, so it’s an ideal opportunity for Ja to get his teammates involved. Memphis is a top-10 team in the NBA in three-point efficiency on the road, making almost 36% of threes per game. With the Nuggets being vulnerable on the perimeter, I think Ja will find enough teammates that’ll knock down some shots for him.
