It’s a marquee matchup in the Eastern Conference tonight as the Brooklyn Nets host the New York Knicks in what will be the 2nd meeting of the regular season. Tipoff is at 7.30 pm ET on TNT and I have prepared a Same Game Parlay to spice things up a little. A total of 4 picks are made in my bet, so continue reading below to see what I have cooked up.

Check out our NBA picks page for picks on the side and total for Tuesday’s 5-game slate.

Let’s dive into my SGP bet now!

Knicks -4.5 (-110)

Julius Randle Over 4.5 assists (-158)

OG Anunoby to record 1+ steals (-220)

Mikal Bridges 2+ made threes (-310)

Same Game Parlay odds: +420

New York Knicks -4.5 over Brooklyn Nets (-110)

The 2 New York teams have been polar opposite of each other in the past several weeks. The Knicks are playing some of the best basketball in the entire NBA since acquiring OG Anunoby, while the Nets have fallen out of the playoff picture completely in the East. Sunday’s 26 point win over Toronto was the Knicks’ 9th in 11 games played, the usual suspects Jalen Brunson (38 points) and Julius Randle (triple-double) led the way while making their cases for the all-star team.

Brooklyn led by as many 18 points against the Clippers on Sunday, but a 41-15 meltdown in the 4th quarter saw them lose by 11 points. This team has just been all over the place; I wouldn’t be surprised if it made a couple of moves before the trade deadline on February 8. Bettors have been frustrated with their performances against the spread lately; they are just 3-15-1 ATS in their last 19 games which is the worst mark in the entire NBA. With the Knicks clearly being the better and in-form team right now, I’m taking them to cover the spread in this game.

Go big on Tuesday with our NBA mega parlay at +1000 odds

Julius Randle Over 4.5 assists (-158)

I personally believe the Knicks are at their best when Randle defers to Jalen Brunson scoring wise and becomes the secondary playmaker. That plan worked to perfection in the 126-100 win over Toronto this past weekend, when Randle finished the game with 10 assists and a triple-double. He has now cleared the 5 assists mark 8 times in his last 9 games while averaging 5.1 per game in the month of January. The Nets have been all over the place defensively lately. He has enjoyed a ton of success passing the ball against them, averaging 6 assists in the last 10 meetings and clearing this line 4 times in his last 7 visits to Brooklyn.

OG Anunoby to record 1+ steals (-220)

The impact acquiring OG Anunoby has had on the Knicks has been quite remarkable. Since his arrival the Knicks are 9-2 SU in 11 games and own the NBA’s best defensive rating at 103.4 points allowed per 100 possessions. Once Mitchell Robinson returns, they have the potential to even crack the top 4 in the Eastern Conference. Anunoby is averaging 1.1 steals per game in his last 10 outings and he has recorded at least 1 steal in 8 of his last 11. Since the start of December he has cleared this line in 17 of 23 games, so I feel very confident he can steal at least one possession from the Nets. In head-to-head meetings he has been able to do so in 3 of the 4 most recent games and 6 times in the last 10 against them.

Mikal Bridges 2+ made 3s (-310)

Bridges is 5th on the Nets in 3-point efficiency, knocking down 35.4% of his attempts this season. Although Brooklyn has fallen off quite a bit in the last few weeks, it’s certainly not because of his play. He is averaging 22.5 points per game over his last 10 outings and has remained productive from 3-point land at almost 34% efficiency. He has cleared this line 10 times in his last 11 games, the hot shooting started towards the end of 2023 and has carried over really well deep into January. OG Anunoby will be a tough cover, but I think Bridges will welcome the challenge. As a team New York is average at best when it comes to defending the perimeter; opponents are connecting on 36.3% of their attempts against the Knicks this season, which is only the 15th-best mark in the entire NBA. I’m expecting Bridges to shine.
