The final week of the 2022 NFL regular season is upon us. Last week did not exactly go as planned, with the Bills vs Bengals Monday Night Football game cancelled because of the Damar Hamlin situation. Thankfully Hamlin is making incredible progress in terms of his health and we can turn our attention at least somewhat back to the field for Week 18. Buffalo and Kansas City are still battling for the #1 seed in the AFC, while the AFC South title all comes down to Tennessee vs Jacksonville. In the NFC, Philadelphia is trying to hold off Dallas in their division.

With so much at stake this weekend, it’s time to drop a mega parlay involving 3 of the games.

Panthers ML (+155)

Dolphins ML (+100)

Colts -2.5 (-110)

Parlay odds: +874

For this parlay we are going with an underdog on the money line, an underdog against the spread and a favorite against an alternate spread. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

This parlay was made at FanDuel Sportsbook. FanDuel is a leader in the sports betting industry, so it’s an excellent place to bet this NFL mega parlay. New users can sign up here for a No Sweat $1,000 Bet.

Panthers ML over Saints (+155)

Both of these NFC South teams were finally eliminated from contention when Tampa Bay beat Carolina last weekend. In what is now a meaningless game, I will happily grab the Panthers well into plus-money. Even though they were not officially out of the running until last week’s loss, the Panthers started the season 1-5 and effectively waved the white flag by trading Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers. Nonetheless, they have continued to play hard. Carolina is a respectable 5-5 in its last 10 games. New Orleans has won 3 in a row since its bye week, but the effort level now that its playoff hopes are dashed remains to be seen. The Saints’ offense is mediocre at best and any kind of competitive, low-scoring contest should give the Panthers a chance to win in the closing moments. Quarterback Sam Darnold has played well, running backs D’Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard have been a formidable duo and wide receiver DJ Moore has touchdowns in 3 straight games (also 4 of 5). Carolina won the first head-to-head matchup 22-14 and can get the job done again.

Dolphins ML over Jets (+100)

There is a lot of uncertainty with the Dolphins’ quarterback situation this weekend. At the time of publishing, 3 QBs are in the mix – Tua Tagovailoa, Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson. Even if it ends up being Thompson under center, you should still feel good about Miami’s chances. It’s all to play for when it comes to the ‘Fins, as they will clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Patriots loss to the Bills. The Jets, on the other hand, were eliminated from contention following last week’s setback against Seattle. New York once found itself in surprisingly great shape at 7-4, but a current 5-game losing streak has sealed its fate. The Jets have nothing to play for and quarterback Mike White won’t be playing at all. White was ruled out on Friday, so it will be Joe Flacco taking the reins. It’s safe to assume that New York’s offensive woes will continue. The Jets have the 2nd-lowest success rate in the NFL on early downs and they allowed a whopping 24 QB pressures during their recent loss to the Seahawks. One area in which Miami’s defense excels is getting pressure on the quarterback. The Dolphins are 3rd this season in pass-rush win rate. I’m forecasting a much-needed win for the home team.

Colts -2.5 over Texans (-110)

These AFC South rivals are playing bookend games against each other this season. They kicked off the 2022 campaign with a head-to-head showdown in Week 1 and aren’t meeting again until Week 18. Needless to say, there is nothing at stake for the 4-11-1 Colts and 2-13-1 Texans – well, nothing except the #1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Houston can lock it up with another loss on Sunday, so it would be in its best interest to lose. Indianapolis may be a similar kind of dumpster fire but this team has at least played hard under interim head coach Jeff Saturday and he is surely hoping to make a last good impression in a bid to land the full-time job. Look for Indy to win by at least a field goal.
