It’s put up or shut up time as we enter the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, and that means we’re back with another episode of the Pickswise NFL Show! Our NFL betting preview is hosted by Rachael Van Oranje from ESPN975 radio and Jeff Reinebold, a man with over 30 years of coaching experience and a sharp eye for betting picks.

This week, Rachael and Jeff are joined by sports betting writer and former TV anchor Chelsa Messinger, and the trio break down the four huge games we’ve got to be excited about this weekend.

We’ve also crunched the numbers and found the best divisional round betting trends for the NFL playoffs, so be sure to check those out before placing any bets for the weekend’s games.

NFL Playoffs Divisional Round Games

The first game of this weekend’s NFL playoffs divisional round pits the Los Angeles Rams against the Green Bay Packers. The Rams pulled off the upset over the Seahawks last week, but face a much tougher assignment here against relentless Packers attack led by Aaron Rodgers. In this classic defense vs. offense matchup, who will come out on top?

That hot clash is followed by arguably the game of the weekend, as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens completely shut down Derrick Henry last week while running all over the Titans defense, and are one of the most complete teams in the NFL right now. However, Josh Allen has put up huge numbers for this rampant Bills offense. Can he lead his team to the AFC Championship?

Speaking of the AFC, Sunday’s slate kicks off with the Cleveland Browns taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. The Browns earned a shock win over the Steelers last week despite dealing with a lot of COVID drama, but heading to Arrowhead to take on Patrick Mahomes is an entirely different level of difficulty. We broke down three things Cleveland must do if they are to stand a chance against the Chiefs, which includes keeping the ball out of Mahomes’ hands, but that’s easier said than done.

The divisional round closes with a hot game out of the NFC South between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees and the Saints have had the Bucs’s number twice this season, including in a 38-3 rout, but you can never rule out Tom Brady in the playoffs. Tampa’s offense has been on fire lately, and this one could go right down to the wire.

Along with the NFL previews for each playoff game, Rachael, Jeff, and Chelsa provide us with their Pickswise Lock of the Day. After Jeff went 12-5 with his underdog picks over the course of the season, let’s see if he can continue that hot form.

As always, you can also read our expert previews for every single divisional round game of the NFL playoffs.
