Soccer picks: English Premier League parlay for Saturday 2/10 (+384 odds): Newcastle can take advantage of Nottingham Forest fatigue

Eddie Howe has saluted Callum Wilson’s “brilliant mentality” as he waits to see whether his latest battle to return from adversity will be rewarded with a World Cup call-up. The 30-year-old striker is back in the Newcastle team and among the goals after a six-week lay-off with a hamstring injury.

Manchester City ML over Everton (-600), 7:30 am ET, Saturday

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has the luxury of a fully-fit squad from which to choose – and that spells trouble for the rest of the English Premier League. City have won their last 9 games in all competitions and are building up some serious momentum for the rest of the campaign. Star striker Erling Haaland has been eased back into action by Guardiola and the giant Norwegian forward should be back to full match fitness for the visit of Everton on Saturday. Kevin De Bruyne is up to speed, too, and the champions should comfortably cruise to 3 points against the lowly Toffees.

Luton ML over Sheffield United (-145), 10:00 am ET, Saturday

Luton fans have been enjoying a wild ride over the last 3 months. Ever since taking a point off Liverpool at Kenilworth Road in the first week of November, the Hatters have been regularly succeeding. Victories over Crystal Palace and Newcastle soon followed, then a run to the 5th round of the FA Cup, courtesy of a 2-1 triumph at Goodison Park. A 4-0 home win over Brighton in the league was followed by a 4-4 tie with Newcastle at St. James’ Park. The hot streak can continue for Luton with 3 points against their relegation rivals Sheffield United, who just got crushed 5-0 by Aston Villa.

Liverpool ML over Burnley (-700), 10:00 am ET, Saturday

Liverpool’s EPL challenge faltered with defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday and the Reds know that a home meeting with Burnley is essentially a must-win game at this stage of the title race. Jurgen Klopp’s farewell season could quickly turn sour should Burnley take points from Anfield on Saturday. Expect Liverpool to rapidly get the job done. They have scored in 22 of their 23 English Premier League games this season, notching 52 goals. Burnley have conceded 47 goals in 23 games and look like lambs to the slaughter at Anfield.

Newcastle ML over Nottingham Forest (+115), 12:30 pm ET, Saturday

Nottingham Forest were involved in a gruelling FA Cup encounter at the City Ground on Wednesday night, eventually overcoming Bristol City in a penalty shootout, and that match could make the Tricky Trees leggy for their Saturday meeting with Newcastle. If Forest are jaded, Newcastle look well-equipped to take advantage. The Magpies followed two impressive away performances in the FA Cup – at Sunderland and Fulham – with a 3-1 league victory at Aston Villa. That bright road form suggests Eddie Howe’s team will triumph at the City Ground.
