The best week of NFL picks in Pickswise history

Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs (6) celebrates following a missed field goal against the Denver Broncos during the fourth quarter at Lumen Field.

Week 1 of the NFL has come and gone, and boy oh boy, the 2022 season could not have gotten off to a better start.

We opened the season with a win as the Buffalo Bills covered their -2.5 spread, and Gabriel Davis cashed our anytime scorer best bet at +160 with the first score of the game. It only went up from there as we finished the week 13-3 against the spread, 4-0 on best bets, cashed our +612 parlay, and hit TWO same game parlays! Let’s break down how we saw the greatest week of NFL betting picks in Pickswise history, and how our free picks helped the Pickswise Nation bet better in NFL Week 1.

NFL cappers run riot to go 13-3 ATS in Week 1

Week 1 of the NFL season was certainly one to remember for our NFL cappers as they finished 13-3 against the spread. Following that cash on Bills -2.5 on TNF, our experts went on to successfully pick Falcons +5.5, Browns +2.5, Bears +7, Steelers +6.5, Lions +4, Dolphins -3.5 and Ravens -7 to give us a Sunday early-window record of 7-2. Things only got better from there, as we went a perfect 4-0 on the late-window games with Giants +5.5, Chiefs -6, Chargers -3 and Vikings +2 all doing the business.

We then wrapped up the week in comfortable fashion, as the Seahawks both covered their +6.5 spread and spoiled Russell Wilson’s return as they beat the Denver Broncos 17-16.

Our lead betting analyst Jared Smith went 4-2 on his NFL Week 1 picks, including a best bet win, and he’s already taken a look at the opening lines for Week 2.

NFL best bets go a perfect 4-0

They’re called best bets for a reason! Our NFL cappers went 4-0 on their Week 1 best bets to get the season off to a perfect start. The Atlanta Falcons +5.5 was our first best bet win of the week as they covered the spread but couldn’t quite knock off the New Orleans Saints as they lost 27-26. Our next best bet came in Tennessee and we had to hold our breath until the very last play, as a potential game-winning field goal by the Tennessee Titans to beat the New York Giants went just wide. That miss meant our best bet of under 43.5 points was a success.

We kept the good times rolling into Sunday Night Football with a sweat-free win in the Lone Star state as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys easily finished below the 51.5 total, giving Jared Smith his first best bet win of the season. And to finish the already stellar week, the Seattle Seahawks covered their +6.5 spread in Russell Wilson’s return as a Denver Bronco.

Not one, not two, but THREE parlay wins!

I feel like LeBron James in South Beach saying it, but we had not one, not two, but three parlay wins in Week 1 of the NFL season! Our +612 parlay was a winner as the Falcons covered their +5.5 spread against the Saints, the Browns beat the Panthers and covered their +2.5 spread, and the Ravens -7 covered against the Jets in comfortable fashion.

But we’re not done yet! We also cashed our +706 same game parlay between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals in a game that felt like it would never end, while our +700 same game parlay on the New York Giants vs Titans game was successful, again thanks to the missed field goal attempt at the end of the game.

Pickswise has certainly made a statement for the 2022 NFL season, so be sure to check out our NFL picks every week as we look to help you bet better!
