The National Blowout League was in full effect last night. Countless games saw starters sit the whole 4th quarter and go under their player prop lines. I advise bettors to be cautious tonight. Multiple teams are playing their second game in two nights.

Let’s dive into our best NBA player prop bet for games on Saturday, January 6. Also make sure you also read our NBA predictions for today’s games.

Kristaps Porzingis, C, BOS, Under 21.5 points (-113)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

The whole starting 5 of the Celtics sat the 4th quarter last night because they were up on the Utah Jazz by 30 points. I’m not banking on Kristaps Porzingis sitting in the 4th quarter again, but for the core of the Celtics to play tonight, which will limit Porzingis’ work.

When Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis all suit up, it’s a roll of the dice of who will have an elite scoring game. Last night, Tatum scored 30 points in 24 minutes on 12 shots. Meanwhile, Brown scored just 13 points in 26 minutes. But our player prop target for today, Kristaps Porzingis, played the most minutes out of the starting 5, scored 19 points, but took just 7 shots from the field. It’s as simple as this: Porzingis gets less volume when this elite lineup plays together. He’s stayed under this line in 13 of 18 games and is averaging less than 13 shots a game.

Porzingis will be matched up against Indiana Pacers’ big man, Myles Turner, who can defend him in the post and on the perimeter. Unless the Celtics pull tricks on us, I expect the same starting 5 to suit up tonight after playing less than 25 minutes last night.
