Champions League pick today: Inter Milan ML over AC Milan (+110), 3:00 pm ET

Inter could have killed off this Champions League semifinal tie had they been more ruthless in the first leg, but there’s unlikely to be a reprieve for AC Milan. Inter hold a commanding 2-0 lead and are in imperious form, winning their last 7 games by a combined score of 19-1. They’ve also won the last 3 derbies against AC Milan, so for that reason, backing Inter to win will be our play.

MLB pick today: Seattle Mariners ML over Boston Red Sox (-154), 7:10 pm ET

The middle game of a 3-game set in Boston features Luis Castillo of the Mariners against Nick Pivetta of the Red Sox. Pivetta has been terrible this season with a 6.23 ERA and in 5 starts at home, Pivetta has a 6.30 ERA and has allowed 6 home runs in just 20 innings.

Luis Castillo on the other hand, had a Cy Young start to the season, but he has cooled off recently. He allowed just 2 earned runs in his first 4 starts and has since allowed 12 runs in his 4 most recent starts. Even with those shaky outings, Castillo’s season ERA sits at just 2.70. He remains one of the best pitchers in baseball and will face a Red Sox lineup that was hot once but has since cooled off rapidly. For that reason, backing the Mariners will be our play.

MLB pick today: Tampa Bay Rays ML vs New York Mets (+138), 7:10 pm ET

For just the 5th time this season, the Rays are the underdog in a game. Tampa Bay is 2-2 as dogs, but they have an excellent chance for their third win tonight against Justin Verlander. The 2022 AL Cy Young winner has made 2 starts this season and has allowed 3 runs and 7 hits in 12 innings. While those numbers look good, those outings came against the Tigers and Reds – who rank 22nd and 29th in OPS this season.

The Rays’ offense is a completely different beast and has been the best lineup in baseball by a long shot. They have scored 29 runs in their last 4 games, so because they got a much needed off-day on Monday, backing the Rays to win will be our play.

NBA pick today: Los Angeles Lakers +6 over Denver Nuggets (-108), 8;30 pm ET

For the Nuggets to be 6-point favorites is kind of surprising considering that these two teams are relatively evenly matched. Expect a battle in the paint with Anthony Davis and Nikola Jokic, however Davis is more athletic and agile than Jokic, so he has the slight edge on offense which could possibly draw Jokic into some foul trouble.

The Lakers stole Game 1 on the road in their last 2 series against the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors, so for that reason, backing them to at least cover tonight will be our play.
