College basketball pick today: Xavier Musketeers -2.5 over Creighton Bluejays (-110), 7:00 pm ET

The Musketeers of Xavier roll into this one with 9 consecutive victories, and 3 straight covers, too. Xavier has also won 3 straight meetings in this series, while going 3-1 ATS in the previous 4 outings.

Xavier is also 4-1 ATS in the past 5 games overall, while going a very impressive 9-3-1 ATS in the past 13 games against teams with a winning overall record. Creighton is struggling to maintain any consistency, while Xavier is on a long winning streak. For that reason, backing the Musketeers will be the play tonight.

College basketball pick today: Alabama Crimson Tide ML over Arkansas Razorbacks (-110), 7:00 pm ET

The Arkansas Razorbacks will embark on their toughest challenge of the season when they play host to the red-hot Alabama Crimson Tide this evening. Not many teams have played non-conference opponents as strong as UConn, Houston, Memphis and Gonzaga, as Alabama has. According to KenPom, Alabama has the toughest strength of schedule to this point, yet the Crimson Tide impressively rank 18th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 10th in adjusted defensive efficiency. Through 3 conference games, the Tide have the 3rd-most efficient offense and the most efficient defense in the SEC. Because the Crimson Tide have already gone through a grueling schedule, backing them to win on the road will be the play tonight.

NBA pick today: Minnesota Timberwolves -7 over Detroit Pistons (-110), 7:10 pm ET

The Minnesota Timberwolves are riding a 4-game winning streak, the 2nd-longest current run in the NBA. The visitors’ recent form has been made possible by their defensive play. They have ranked in the top 10 of the league in defensive rating over the last 10 games, allowing teams to make just 33.3% of their 3-point attempts during that time, putting them 4th in that category.

The hosts on the other hand, are 26th in true shooting percentage this season and without some of their offensive leaders, could have issues improving their efficiency offensively. For that reason, backing the Timberwolves looks to be the best play tonight.

NHL pick today: Edmonton Oilers 3-Way ML over Anaheim Ducks (-170), 10:00 pm ET

The Oilers were recently taken down by the Los Angeles Kings as their goaltending was exposed. The same could be said for the Ducks, as they were smashed 7-1 by the Boston Bruins. That brought them back down to earth after back-to-back wins.

It’s impossible to ignore Anaheim’s weakness and the Oilers’ superstar talent. The Ducks continue to allow the most shots per game by a landslide and are the only team in the NHL allowing more than 4 goals per game. When facing the likes of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, there’s no reason to believe Edmonton shouldn’t light up the scoreboard. Their game against the Ducks last month was a rare afternoon game, and we’ll back them to be in a better mindset with the usual start time on this occasion.
