We have not only reached, but now also passed the halfway point of the 2022 NFL regular season. There is still a long way to go, of course, but it’s never too early to start thinking about player awards. The race is on for MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and more.

With Week 11 on the horizon, it’s time to take a look at some of the especially intriguing races.

2022 NFL MVP odds

With Monday Night Football still pending in Week 10, Patrick Mahomes is a +150 MVP favorite ahead of Jalen Hurts (+400). Mahomes was a +275 second choice prior to this past weekend, but another brilliant performance in a 27-17 victory over Jacksonville has propelled him to the top spot. The Chiefs’ star signal-caller tossed 4 touchdown passes and in the last 4 games his passing totals are 338, 423, 446 and 331 yards. Mahomes – and all other contenders – were also helped by the fact that Josh Allen struggled in the Bills’ unbelievable loss to the Vikings. Allen was +300 going into Week 10 and is now +600. He fell from third on the list to fourth, surpassed by Tua Tagovailoa – who is now +400. Meanwhile, Tagovailoa has thrown 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in 3 consecutive contests. Hurts has a chance to answer when his Eagles host the Commanders on Monday night.

Patrick Mahomes +150
Jalen Hurts +275
Tua Tagovailoa +400
Josh Allen +600
Lamar Jackson +1400
Joe Burrow +2500
Kirk Cousins +3000
Geno Smith +4000
Tyreek Hill +8000

2022 NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds

There is a difference between “most valuable” and “best,” which is why non-quarterbacks have a chance in this department – much unlike in the MVP race, where no player at any other position has better than +8000 odds (Miami receiver Tyreek Hill). In fact, non-QBs have more than just a chance to win OPOY; they are favored. Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson made the catch of the year – maybe the catch of a lot more than just the year – on Sunday. There is no award for that specifically, of course, but it certainly helps his body of work when it comes to OPOY honors. Jefferson has already racked up 1,060 receiving yards this year to go along with 5 touchdowns. Hill has been similarly productive, with 1,148 receiving yards and 4 scores.

Offensive Player of the Year favorites

Justin Jefferson +250
Tyreek Hill +400
Jalen Hurts +550
Patrick Mahomes +1000
Stefon Diggs +1200
Saquon Barkley +1600
Derrick Henry +1600
Lamar Jackson +1600
Josh Allen +1800

2022 NFL Comeback Player of the Year odds

There are several fascinating 2-man battles – or at least virtual 2-man battles – for various awards right now, and 1 of them is for Comeback Player of the Year honors. Barring some crazy scenes down the stretch, it’s coming down to Saquon Barkley and Geno Smith. Heading into Week 10, Smith was a -135 favorite and Barkley found himself at +140. Following Seattle’s loss to Tampa Bay across the pond, the tables have turned. Barkley is an ever-so-slight favorite at -115, while Smith is also on the board at minus money (-110).

Comeback Player of the Year favorites

Saquon Barkley -115
Geno Smith -110
Derrick Henry +2000
Christian McCaffrey +2500
Travis Etienne +2800
Nick Gates +3500
