Wise n' Shine: College football best bets, NHL and NBA predictions for Friday, November 18

Good morning, Pickswise Nation. Week 11 of the NFL season kicked off last night, and today there is action in college football, college basketball, NBA and NHL. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s get right to it and make your next bet better with Wise n’ Shine!

About Last Night

The King keeps his crown
Thursday Night Football was a cold one, but that didn’t stop Derrick Henry. The King finished with 87 yards on 28 carries, a rushing touchdown, and he even had a touchdown pass! Henry did a little bit of everything en route to Tennessee’s 27-17 victory over the Packers, marking their 7th victory in their last 8 games. At 7-3, the Titans are starting to run away with the AFC South title.

Tulane towers over SMU
It was a close game… for the first few minutes. Tulane (-3) went up 21-0 in the first quarter and never looked back as they finished with a 59-24 win over SMU. The Green Wave, #21 in the country, dominated from the start and easily cashed our Tulane -3 prediction without a sweat. Don’t miss the rest of our college football predictions this week.

Nets beat Blazers
There were only 3 games played on the professional hardwood on Thursday, with the standout result being the Nets’ 109-107 victory over the Blazers, thanks to Kevin Durant’s 35-point performance. Elsewhere, the Kings crushed the Spurs while the Clippers edged the Pistons.

Today’s Slate

Friday night lights in college football
Gearing up for the dozens of games on Saturday, we have two matchups happening tonight. South Florida visits Tulsa and San Diego State battles New Mexico, and we have predictions for both matchups. Here are our college football predictions.

Nearly a dozen games in the NBA
Yesterday’s small slate of games sets us up for a fun Friday in the NBA as 22 teams will take the court. Noteworthy matchups include the Bucks battling the 76ers, the Celtics visiting the Pelicans, and the Knicks taking on the Warriors. Don’t miss any of our NBA picks.

One lone NHL game
To say it’s a small slate on the ice tonight would be quite an understatement. The Kings and Canucks are the lone NHL game tonight as we get ready for a big day on Saturday. Check out our NHL predictions.

College basketball continues
As usual, we have a slew of college basketball games tonight. Interesting matchups include Virginia visiting Baylor, Villanova taking on Michigan State, and Illinois battling UCLA. Check out our college basketball predictions.

Best Bet of the Day

NCAAF: San Diego State -14.5 over New Mexico (-110)
9:45 pm ET

San Diego State and New Mexico are 2 of the lowest-scoring teams in the country, but for two very different reasons. San Diego State averages 21.9 points per game with a solid running game and defense. They control the clock and keep teams off the field. New Mexico averages 14.7 points per game because their offense is not good enough to score points. They only average 239 yards of total offense. San Diego State doesn’t have to worry about keeping New Mexico off the field because the Lobos aren’t really a threat on the field. They only average 7.7 points per game in their last 4 games. San Diego State could easily shut out New Mexico. Take the Aztecs to cover. Read our full San Diego State vs New Mexico predictions.
