About Last Night

12-5 day on MLB totals for Pickswise
It was a case of total domination for Pickswise on Tuesday’s 17-game MLB slate, as our handicappers went 12-5 with our over/under total picks (and 9-8 on ML/RL plays). The Rays and Blue Jays split their doubleheader, but the Pirates won both their games against the Reds. The Cubs upset the Mets and Jacob deGrom 4-1, while Yankees vs Red Sox went to 10 innings before New York won 7-6.

Super soccer picks
Our Tuesday MLS picks went close to a sweep with a 3-0-1 night thanks to wins for Montreal and Kansas City and both teams scoring in Miami vs Columbus.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Chicago White Sox -1.5 over Colorado Rockies
2:10 pm ET, NBCSCH

Chicago has worked itself back into the race in the AL Central and is handing the ball to Dylan Cease, a righty who has quickly become one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball. He leads Major League Baseball in batting average against, is 2nd in ERA and 4th in Ks. Those are Cy Young-level numbers. The mound matchup against Colorado lefty Kyle Freeland is a total mismatch in favor of the White Sox, and with the way the Rockies struggle on the road there is no reason to think that is going to change today. Cease has been close to unhittable in September, with the White Sox winning by a combined 27-2 in his 2 starts. Read our full Rockies vs White Sox preview.
