Good morning Pickswise Nation and welcome to another great day of sports. We have NBA and NHL action today and the MLB season is just 24 hours away, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

NBA handicappers stay hot
Tuesday marked another successful night in the NBA for our handicapping team, particularly in the totals market, where we went 5-1 on the day. Our 3-star best bet of the over in the Celtics vs Wizards game cashed with relative ease and our expert also went 3-0 on his prop picks. This brought us to a 19-9 run in NBA player props over the last week of action!

Eventful day in the NHL
With the NHL season winding down, each game matters as the standings for the Stanley Cup Playoffs take shape. Notable results on Tuesday included 4-0 victory for the Lightning over the Carolina Hurricanes, while the Calgary Flames defeated the red-hot Los Angeles Kings 2-1.

Today’s Slate

NBA doubleheader on ESPN
Wednesday’s 10-game NBA slate includes a great doubleheader on ESPN with the Mavericks taking on the Sixers at 7:30 pm ET and the Timberwolves facing the Suns at 10:00 pm ET. Read today’s NBA picks.

Important TNT doubleheader in the NHL
There are only 3 games in the NHL on Wednesday, but the top matchups all have serious playoff implications. The Florida Panthers will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:00 pm ET, followed by a TNT doubleheader. First, the Islanders will face off against the Capitals before the Wild travel to Colorado for a meeting with the Avalanche that could decide the Central Division. Read today’s NHL predictions.

Best Bet of the Day

NHL: Over 7 goals in Florida Panthers vs Tampa Bay Lightning
7:00 pm ET, ESPN+

Starting with the Florida side of things, goaltending continues to be an issue. The Panthers’ recent upset loss to the Senators was due to them allowing 5 goals. That also marked 4 straight games of allowing at least 4 goals, which includes allowing 6 to the Leafs less than a week ago. Just prior to that, the Panthers allowed 6 goals to a rather poor Philadelphia Flyers squad. Toronto won that recent matchup 6-2, but Florida can make this one soar even more over the total. With them also fighting for their playoff lives, we expect both teams to find the back of the net early and often. Read our full Panthers vs Lightning predictions.

You can bet on this NHL pick over at Caesars, which has a great sign-up offer where you can get up to $1,250 back on your first bet! Click here to sign up for Caesars right now.
