Good morning, Pickswise Nation. NFL Week 11 is upon us and Thursday’s schedule also includes college football, college basketball, NBA and NHL action. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s get right to it and make your next bet better with Wise n’ Shine!

About Last Night

Midweek MACtion continues!
The Mid-American Conference rarely disappoints, and it certainly did not on Wednesday. All 3 road underdogs – Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Miami (OH) – all won outright. That was just fine with the Pickswise college football experts, who went 5-1 with their picks (2-1 ATS and 3-0 O/U).

Texas takes down Gonzaga
Gonzaga doesn’t lose often, but that is what happened in its third game of the season. The Zags fell to Texas 93-74 on Wednesday, watching UT guard Tyrese Hunter go for 26 points while committing twice as many turnovers as the Longhorns (20 to 10). Our college basketball analysis will be going strong throughout the season.

Warriors waste 50 from Curry
Stephen Curry scored 50 points, but it was nowhere near enough as Golden State lost at Phoenix 130-119. In the Eastern Conference, Boston continued to assert itself as the team to beat by going on the road to blow out Atlanta 126-101. Meanwhile, we correctly picked New York (+145 on the money line) to win at Denver.

Today’s Slate

Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field
Week 11 of the NFL season is here! The festivities are kicking off with a primetime battle between the Titans and the Packers. Tennessee (6-3) is looking to run away from the rest of the AFC South; Green Bay (4-6) is hoping to keep its season alive and build on last week’s big win over Dallas. Check out our Titans vs Packers predictions.

Tulane takes the field
A third straight day of midweek college football action will see Tulane host SMU. The Green Wave (8-2) lost to UCF last weekend but still come in at #21 in the rankings. Here are all of our college football predictions.

Late-night basketball
There are only 3 NBA games tonight and all 3 are starting at 10:00 pm ET or later. Brooklyn visits Portland to get things started before the Clippers wrap up the small slate by hosting Detroit. Don’t miss any of our NBA picks.

Huge 13-game schedule in the NHL
All 13 of today’s hockey games are being shown on ESPN+. The 14-2-0 Bruins will try to extend their winning streak to 5 games when they host the Flyers, while an especially intriguing showdown pits the 13-3-0 Devils against the 9-5-3 Maple Leafs. You can find out our NHL predictions for every single one of those games.

Best Bet of the Day

NBA: Portland Trail Blazers -1.5 over Brooklyn Nets (-110)
10:00 pm ET

Brooklyn just allowed a ridiculous 153 points in a loss to Sacramento earlier this week. Kevin Durant is trying to settle things down for the Nets, but with the Kyrie Irving saga and Ben Simmons still not much of a factor, it is hard to see how this team wins. Meanwhile, Portland has been a pleasant surprise so far in 2022-23. The Trail Blazers are leading the Northwest Division thanks to a trio of 20+ppg scorers in Damian Lillard, Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant. It continues to be absurd how much respect the Nets are getting from the market. They aren’t good – at least not right now. Look for the Blazers to maintain momentum and pick up another victory. Read our full Nets vs Kings predictions.

Stat of the Day

The Titans have allowed more than 22 points in a game only once this season, and that was against the Bills in Week 2. They have held 6 straight opponents to 20 or fewer and have kept 7 consecutive opponents under their team total for that week. Dating back to 2019, 8 of the 10 Tennessee games with a total of no more than 42 have stayed under – and those games have stayed under by an average of nearly 8 points.

Quote of the Day

You’ve just got to flip the page. Life goes on, so we can’t be waiting for Saturday. It’s just bumped up two days. We can handle it. We’re grown men. As long as both teams have the same schedule, it’s not a problem. I’ve been places where we played on Saturday and the other team didn’t play and then we played on Thursday. That’s bad scheduling. But we both had the same things to deal with. We knew this a long time ago when the schedule came out.”

— Tulane head coach Willie Fritz on Thursday’s game against SMU.
