About Last Night

NBA Best Bets cash
It was a busy day in the NBA on Wednesday with 12 games, but our handicappers selected only 2 3-star plays and they were both on the same game! That decision proved well-founded as Timberwolves -14.5 and over 231.5 in the game against the Thunder both cashed as Minnesota won 132-102. The Suns became the first team this season to clinch a playoff spot, moving to 53-13 with a 111-90 win over the Heat. The Mavericks were 8-point favorites against the Knicks but lost by 30.

NHL parlay is a winner
There were just 2 games in the NHL, but Pickswise found a +526 odds parlay winner thanks to both overs and the Canucks’ 3-way money line. Props expert Chad Wetzel was red-hot too, with 2 plus-money goalscorer plays.

College basketball action is getting wild
The madness is happening already on the college hardwood and we saw some wild finishes including a buzzer-beater from Virginia Tech to beat Clemson in overtime, while Boston College beat Wake Forest and MAAC top seeds Iona lost 71-70 to Rider. Syracuse beat Florida State 96-57, but must take on Duke today without leading scorer Buddy Boeheim, who picked up a 1-game suspension for a punch.

Today’s Slate

TNT Thursday doubleheader
There are just 2 NBA games today, but they’re both on TNT with Nets vs 76ers at 7:30 pm ET — the first time the teams have met since James Harden and Ben Simmons were traded between the teams — before the Warriors take on the Nuggets at 10:00 pm ET. Read today’s NBA game previews.

Huge night in the NHL
There are 13 games to look forward to on the ice, including Avalanche vs Hurricanes and Lightning vs Flames. Read today’s NHL game previews.

Big slate of college hoops
The NCAA basketball conference tournaments continue and today we see Arizona, Kansas, Duke, Providence, Baylor, Villanova and UCLA among the top teams in action. Check out our picks for today’s top college basketball games.

There’s EPL soccer and golf too
The Champions League provided plenty of entertainment over the last 2 days and we have a bonus 4 EPL games this Thursday. Check out our soccer picks for today’s action. The Players Championship is as good as golf gets outside of the Majors, and our expert has picks for this week’s big tournament.

NFL QB carousel turns again

Wentz heads to Commanders
Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson announced their 2022 plans on Tuesday and last night’s spin of the NFL QB carousel took Carson Wentz back to the NFC East with the Washington Commanders after a disappointing year with the Colts. The irony is that the Colts don’t have a 1st-round pick they can use to replace him after giving it up in the deal to acquire him.

Best Bet of the Day

Michigan State Spartans -2.5 vs Maryland Terrapins
6:30 pm ET, BTN

The Maryland Terrapins and the Michigan State Spartans meet in the 2nd round of the Big 10 Tournament. The teams played each other in the last game of the regular season, when Michigan State won 77-67 in East Lansing. The Terrapins dug themselves a hole in the first half and trailed 46-26, but won the second half 41-31. Michigan State has been poor recently but the Spartans have still punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. Tom Izzo is a great coach to have in March, and it is hard to not side with his team. Michigan State beat Maryland twice in the regular season, and can get the season sweep. Stat of the Day

Boost of the Day

Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa to each shoot 71 or under in round 1 of the Players Championship

Most of golf’s big names are taking part in the Players Championship, which starts today, and FanDuel Sportsbook has enhanced the odds of Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa both shooting 71 or better in the first round from +110 to +160.
