It was a busy day in the NHL on Tuesday, with the Detroit Red Wings grabbing the headlines by beating the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in overtime. The Flames beat the Wild and the Ducks overcame the Bruins in other notable matchups. Meanwhile, Pickswise props expert Connor O’Brien went 2-0 with his Tuesday plays.

Today’s Slate

TNT doubleheader in NHL

There’s college basketball and soccer too

Best Bet of the Day

Miami Heat +4.5 vs Milwaukee Bucks
8:00 pm ET

With 4 wins in a row, the Miami Heat look like the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. They have a 2-game advantage over the Bulls for the #1 seed, but despite that, they enter this game as 4.5-point dogs. The good news is they respond well playing in that role this season as they’ve gone 11-7 SU. They’ve also won their last 6 road games. The Bucks are only 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and against Eastern Conference teams they’ve covered the spread just 3 times in the last 12 games. Miami holds the edge with 2 wins in 3 meetings this season, and with their 20-13-1 ATS record on the road, it’s hard to go against Miami. Read our full game preview for Heat vs Bucks.
