Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee Titans Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 12/21/25

While many of the games on this week’s NFL slate have a direct impact on the standings and playoff picture(s) in each conference, Sunday’s matchup between the Chiefs and Titans certainly doesn’t fit that description. In fact, this is one of the more inconsequential games on the entire card, and it’s pretty shocking that this is the case. After all, the Chiefs have been the dominant team in the NFL over the course of the last 6 seasons and Patrick Mahomes and company were expected to contend for another Super Bowl title this year. However, Mahomes is now out for the remainder of the season (and who knows how much longer) with a torn ACL, while a number of other Chiefs players are either out or on the injury report this week. With Kansas City officially eliminated from postseason contention, there isn’t exactly much motivation for the Chiefs to go and win a game on the road this week, especially with Gardner Minshew starting at quarterback behind a broken offensive line.

As for the hosts, the Titans have plenty of their own problems, and it’s not a surprise that Tennessee is one of the worst teams in football. However, there is something to be said for the fact that rookie quarterback Cam Ward has looked confident and comfortable within the offense in recent weeks. It certainly helps matters that the Chiefs defense is extremely banged up and has struggled all season in the secondary. If Kansas City ends up being without its top cornerback in this game, the Chiefs will be a below average unit and therefore, not one that should challenge Ward all that much. This is a game that should be fairly low-scoring, but given the injuries and motivational edge in this game, I’m actually going to lean toward the Titans as home underdogs.
