Philadelphia has taken control of the NFC East race over the last month, winning four straight games to improve to 8-2. The Eagles are looking to become the first team to win consecutive NFC East titles since 2003 and 2004, when Philadelphia accomplished that feat. The Cowboys are waiting in the wings at AT&T Stadium, trying to climb back into the NFC playoff race after routing the Raiders on Monday night, 33-16 to move to 4-5-1.

Dallas is currently the 10th seed in the NFC and will look back at losses to Carolina and Arizona that will likely keep the Cowboys out of the postseason. All they can do is look forward but it’s not a pretty sight, as the Cowboys face the Eagles, Chiefs, and Lions over the next three games. Dallas is 0-3 this season off a victory, but the Cowboys look to change that trend after QB Dak Prescott threw 4 TD passes in Monday’s win at Las Vegas.

In the first matchup this season on opening night, the Eagles held off the Cowboys, 24-20 at Lincoln Financial Field. Dallas grabbed the cover as 8-point underdogs, while the teams combined for three points in the second half following a lengthy weather delay. Both Prescott and Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw for less than 200 yards, the first of six games below 200 passing yards for Hurts this season.

The Eagles won both matchups last season by a combined score of 75-13, but Prescott missed both games due to injury. In three underdog spots this season, Dallas has covered twice in the tie against Green Bay and the Week 1 loss to Philadelphia. The Eagles are 7-3 against the spread and the lone non-cover in a win came against Dallas. Philadelphia is 4-1 ATS as a road favorite and 7-2 ATS in this role since last season. Off last week’s huge win over Detroit, this is a spot to back the Eagles here against the inconsistent Cowboys.

The first meeting between these division rivals was on its way to an Over of 47.5 in Week 1 as Philadelphia led Dallas, 21-20 at the half. A long weather delay to start the second half destroyed the momentum towards an Over as the Eagles kicked a third quarter field goal and that was the only scoring in the final two quarters of a 24-20 Philadelphia win. The Eagles are coming off a pair of Unders the past two weeks in low-scoring victories over Green Bay and Detroit.

The Cowboys have the honor of ranking second in the NFL in scoring and second-to-last in points allowed per game. Dallas is in the midst of a 6-1 Over run the last seven games, with the lone Under coming in the 27-17 Monday night loss to Arizona in Week 9 on a 53.5 total. Although the defensive numbers aren’t stellar, the Cowboys have made improvements. Dallas allowed an average of 33 points in the first four games, but have dropped to 26.8 points yielded in the last six games.

Philadelphia’s offense has plenty of weapons, but hasn’t been able to maintain consistency during its title defense this season. The Eagles have been held to 17 points or less in four of the last six games, but the defense stifled the Packers and Lions by giving up a total of 17 points. Detroit entered last Sunday’s matchup as one of the highest-scoring teams in the league, but managed to score only nine points against Philadelphia.

The Cowboys and Eagles went back-and-forth in the first half of their first matchup before the huge slowdown in the second half. Although both defenses have played better recently, the offensive weapons on each side are due for a bust-out here in this rematch and should be able to reach at least 50 points on Sunday afternoon.
