The Arizona Diamondbacks and Seattle Mariners have one of the final games on the slate tonight. They battled late into the night on Friday before the Mariners eventually took a 7-6 victory in extra innings. That pushed the Mariners’ winning streak to 4 games, and it ended a 5-game streak for the D-Backs. As we head to Saturday, the Mariners are heavy favorites with Bryan Woo on the mound as he faces Ryne Nelson. There is value in backing the Diamondbacks at a nice plus-money payout, but I am going to go with under 7 in this spot.

We don’t usually want to bet an under with Ryne Nelson on the mound, as he is very capable of giving up a big number. However, he has been really strong in the month of May, pitching into the 7th or 8th inning in 4 straight starts, logging quality starts in all of them. He will face a Seattle lineup that has never seen him before, and feels a little thin without Cal Raliegh in the middle of the order. Woo, on the other side, is as reliable as a starter gets. He has had a couple of rough outings this season, but he has more than earned my trust whenever he takes the hill. I think we could be in for a low-scoring grind of a game. The books think so too, and they know we hate betting unders already.
