These teams met a few weeks ago back in early April, and Washington swept the 3-game series up in Milwaukee. That series was in the middle of a 6-game losing streak for the Brewers, but they have gotten back on track with a record of 8-6 since then and enter this contest with wins in 3 of their last 4 games.

Milwaukee’s Jacob Misiorowski is set to take the mound, and he he has allowed just 23 hits through 32.2 innings of work early on this season. He has been especially effective on the road, as his BAA drops from .207 at home to .167 away from Milwaukee. He didn’t face the Nationals earlier this month, and figures to give them all they can handle. Washington’s Jake Irvin is coming off a start in which he tossed 5.2 shutout innings against the White Sox, but he had an ERA of 6.00 entering that contest. I am not sold on Irvin being fully back on track after one solid outing against one of the worst offenses in baseball. Back the Brewers.
