New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 05/13/26

The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles wrap up their series Wednesday afternoon after the game was moved up due to forecasted inclement weather. New York will hand the ball to Max Fried who enters at 4-2 with a 2.91 ERA and 0.95 WHIP while striking out 48 across nine starts this season. Fried has struggled a little bit in his last two starts, and one of those matchups was against Baltimore where he allowed three earned runs on six hits in 5.1 innings. For Baltimore, Kyle Bradish will get the nod, entering at 1-5 with a 4.83 ERA and 1.66 WHIP while striking out 45 batters in eight starts. Bradish hasn’t won a game since April 8th, and the last time he faced the Yankees, he gave up five runs on six hits in four innings pitched. 

The Yankees lineup could look slightly different Wednesday afternoon with Anthony Volpe expected to rejoin the club. While it may not drastically change the outlook offensively, it’ll still be worth monitoring how Volpe adjusts after an inconsistent season at the plate last year. New York scored six runs on nine hits last night, with a big part of that being a three-run homer from Trent Grishman in the third inning. Regardless of how Aaron Boone structures the lineup for the afternoon, the Yankees still hold the edge on the mound with Max Fried starting despite his recent struggles. Between the strong lineup, starting pitching, and reliable bullpen, New York should have no issues taking care of business against Baltimore this afternoon as I expect them to win big.
