San Diego Padres vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 04/25/26

It is time for baseball in Mexico City! This year’s Mexico series features the San Diego Padres vs the Arizona Diamondbacks. Both teams are playing tremendous baseball lately. The Padres are tied for the fewest losses in baseball right now, while the D-Backs had been playing hot before losing 2 of 3 to the White Sox this week. The thing you need to know about the Mexico City series is that the run total is way high, and most games usually exceed it. You know how you love to bet overs for Rockies games? Well, Mexico City is some 2000 feet higher above sea level than Coors Field, and the center field fence is still only 410. The fun thing to do is to bet the over and enjoy. Nevertheless, I am playing the Padres to win the game.

The pitching matchup is Zac Gallen vs German Marquez. Gallen has always pitched well at Coors Field, for what it is worth, and Marquez pitched there for several years. I’m not sure how much to make of that though. What I do know is that the Padres are the better team right now, and they always have Mason Miller looming in the bullpen to shorten the game. The hitting environment doesn’t matter to him because no one puts the ball in play anyway. I will back the Padres to get it done in the first of two games in Mexico City.
