Texas Rangers vs Seattle Mariners Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 04/18/26

We have a starting pitching rematch from April 7 today as George Kirby of the Mariners and Nathan Eovaldi of the Rangers face off for the 2nd time this season. The first matchup resulted in a 3-2 Rangers victory with the only runs coming off of the starting pitchers. Both pitchers performed well with Kirby tossing 8 innings of 3-run ball and Eovaldi recording 6 innings with 2 earned runs allowed. I do favor the Mariners the 2nd time around in this matchup, however.

Seattle and Texas have both played well against right-handed pitching to begin 2026, and the close proximity rematch makes this a tough spot for both pitchers. That being said, I do prefer Kirby in this spot as I am fonder of him moving forward. Eovaldi has been one of my favorite starters to back during the past half-decade, but in his age 36 season I have concerns that he can replicate past performances across an entire season. I don’t necessarily think he will struggle through his start on Saturday, but I do believe Seattle can pop a couple of home runs and provide Kirby with the run support he needs.
