Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. On the year, I’ve recorded 185 wins and 134 losses for a gain of +33.4 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Tuesday.

Mitch White has been a disappointment since being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays from the Los Angeles Dodgers at the trade deadline. In 5 starts with the Blue Jays, he has an ERA of 7.04 and has allowed at least 5 hits in 4 of those starts. Right-handed batters are hitting close to .280 against White and I expect his opponent tonight, the Baltimore Orioles, to stack them in their lineup.
The Orioles continue to fight for an AL Wild Card spot. They’ve failed to reach the playoffs since 2016 and are currently 4.5 games back from the 3rd and final spot to the Blue Jays. In the first 2 games of this series, the Orioles have combined for 15 hits against fellow right-handed starters Jose Berrios and Kevin Gausman. Both pitchers are much better than Mitch White. In 4 starts against right-handed starters in September, the Orioles were able to muster at least 5 hits in all 4 games. We could potentially see White get extended today as the Blue Jays bullpen is depleted.
White has allowed at least 5 hits in 5 of 7 starts since the all-star break, and I expect the Orioles to come out hungry tonight after losing their last 3 games.
