Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. With 7 games on the NBA slate today, I have picked out my favorite player prop selections for the action. There are a couple of very intriguing games tonight. The surprise packages from each conference will collide as the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Chicago Bulls. Out east, the Brooklyn Nets will look to start their climb back up the ranking against the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks. Make sure you check out our +2331 same game parlay for that showdown.

You can find our full game previews here, but for now let’s check out my player prop selections below.

DeMar DeRozan over 30.5 points (-118)

The recent play of DeMar DeRozan has not only worked his name into the MVP conversation, but it has also made him one of the favorites. Over his last 10 games he is averaging an incredible 36.6 points while shooting at a 58.2% clip from the field. He has scored 31 or more points in each of his last 9 games, having upped his field-goal attempts per game to 23.4 in the month of February. Considering his second highest average was in December at 20.9, it is evident how aggressive he has been scoring — and his teammates are looking for him.

While the likes of Desmond Bane may not be the easiest individual match up for DeRozan, there should be points up for grabs tonight. The Grizzlies have allowed opponents to score totals of 119, 123, 109, and 118 in their last 4 games. DeRozan should be claiming a fair chunk of those tonight.

Monte Morris over 13.5 points (-105)

Monte Morris of the Denver Nuggets was able to do damage against the Sacramento Kings the last time the sides met. He went off for 19 points on 7 of 9 shooting from the field. He should be in line for similar efficiency night, as De’Aaron Fox has been abysmal defensively. Fox currently ranks 537th out of 592 players in the league in defensive rating and should have issues slowing down the Nuggets point guard. The game prior to facing the Nuggets, Fox allowed Coby White to drop 31 points, so he is someone that can be exploited. With the way Nikola Jokic is able to dish the ball, he should have success finding open looks.

So far in February Morris is shooting at a 46.5% clip from beyond the arc. Over the last 10 games only 3 teams have given up more 3-pointer makes than the Kings. With the ability of Jokic to collapse the paint, Morris should be able to be effective from deep once more. I see him surpassing the 15-point mark tonight.

Giannis Antetokounmpo over 11.5 rebounds (+115)

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks will find themselves up against the Brooklyn Nets tonight. Ever since the trade deadline, Andre Drummond has been the center occupying the paint for the Nets. His size and skill set should work directly in favor of a big rebounding night for Antetokounmpo. Earlier in the season when the Bucks faced off the Philadelphia 76ers with Drummond starting, the former MVP was able to record 16 rebounds. I expect a similarly dominant performance on the glass from him, too.

Prior to the break, Antetokounmpo was able to record a couple of 14-rebound performances in his last 4 games. With a player like Drummond up against him who offers no floor spacing whatsoever, he should be able to do the same once again. Even if the Bucks choose to put Bobby Portis on Drummond instead, the Nets centers offensive rebounding ability will force Antetokounmpo to crash the glass. Back the over.
