It isn’t too often that you get an EPL game on a Thursday night, but we’ve got one hell of a matchup in store here as bitter rivals Manchester United and Liverpool go head to head at Old Trafford. To mark the occasion — and to enhance the excitement — we’ve come up with a same game parlay.

United has been dealing with a quickfire schedule of late, having beaten Aston Villa on Sunday before losing to Leicester on Tuesday, and wrap up three games in five days with a serious test against the reigning Premier League champions. However, it should be noted that with the Red Devils’ defeat to Leicester, Manchester City has been crowned Premier League winners for this season.

Liverpool will no doubt be baying for blood, especially as United played a weakened team in that Leicester loss which in turn hindered their hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League. Regardless, these two teams almost always put on a show when they lock horns and this game is unlikely to be any different.

Tie Money Line (+260)

Over 0.5 1st half goals (-330)

Edinson Cavani to score (+170)

Parlay odds: +1185

Let’s dive into our favorite parlay for this game, which has odds of nearly 12/1 (+1185). You can also check out the rest of our soccer predictions.

Tie Money Line (+260)

Both Manchester United and Liverpool have been in good form of late, and a close contest is expected. United’s defeat to Leicester was their first in the EPL since January, but crucially in that 14-game unbeaten run, they tied six matchups. Liverpool meanwhile is unbeaten in their last six but has tied two of their last three. Neither team has been great defensively recently and it’s difficult to see either team running away with it. United rested a lot of their starters against Leicester so they shouldn’t be too hampered by fatigue, and at +260 odds, a tie between these two teams poses great value.

Over 0.5 1st half goals (-330)

Admittedly these odds are pretty skinny, but for good reason. Seven of Liverpool’s last eight games have featured at least one first-half goal, and they themselves have been fast out of the blocks lately. For all of United’s success since January, they have constantly been hampered by slow starts. They have conceded the first goal in the first half in four of their last six games, and no doubt Liverpool will look to exploit this flaw in Solskjaer’s side. The Red Devils have been superb in battling back from losing positions and notching in the first half isn’t beyond them either, so this bet looks a solid addition to our same game parlay.

Edinson Cavani to score (+170)

Edinson Cavani has been in phenomenal form for Manchester United, and recently gave a boost to fans by signing a contract extension with the club. The Uruguayan has found the net eight times in his last eight games across all competitions and has proven to be as lethal with his head as he is with his boot. Liverpool hasn’t been the most rigid of teams in defense this season, and Cavani’s ability and experience should be able to make the visitors pay at some point during the 90 minutes.
