KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz ML (-135) vs LG Twins

The KT Wiz blew out the LG Twins on Friday morning by a score of 11-1 and will look for a similar result here on Saturday. They are holding their lead at the top of the KBO, sitting 2 games clear of this same Twins team. Therefore, a win would only increase their advantage, while a loss would make it very tight. The KT Wiz will start Ko Young-Pyo, who is having a fairly solid season. He is 8-4 record and his ERA is 3.77.

The Twins will try to recover from that previously mentioned beatdown, but their starter does not look great in this spot. The Twins will start Son Ju-Young, who is 1-1 on the season and has an ERA of 5.29.

The KT Wiz’s offense was on fire Friday morning and facing a below average pitcher should only give them confidence here. For that reason, backing the KT Wiz will be the play here.

Doosan Bears vs Samsung Lions – Over 11 runs (-105)

The total looks to be a better play, just knowing how much both pitchers have struggled. Gwak Been has not been good against the Lions, posting a record of 0-1 with an ERA of 7.36. He does only have 1 start against Samsung, but allowed 5 runs (3 earned) in 3.2 innings.

Mike Montgomery has been just as bad against the Bears, posting an ERA of 7.20. He also has just 1 start against Doosan, but allowed 4 runs over 5.0 innings. Montgomery has allowed at least 3 runs in 4of his 5 starts this season, including allowing 6 in his most recent start. Based on the poor form of both pitchers, the over looks to be the play here.

Lotte Giants vs NC Dinos – Over 10 runs (-115)

With both pitchers having had struggles this season, looking to the over looks to be a decent play. Park Se-Woong is 0-2 against the Dinos and has an ERA of 5.09 this season. This is over a span of 3 starts, where he has allowed 10 runs over 17.2 innings. Lee Jae-Hak has also been bad against the Giants this season, posting a record of 1-0, but his ERA against them is 6.23. He has 2 starts against the Giants, allowing 6 runs over 8.2 innings. The lack of consistency from both pitchers is the reason why backing the over will be the play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay which pays out at +535.
