KBO picks and predictions

Friday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

NC Dinos/Samsung Lions Under 10.5 Runs (-104)

We are looking to back one of the best pitchers in the KBO as Chang-mo Koo gets the start for the Dinos. Koo is 9-0 this season and has an ERA of 1.53. He is 2-0 against the Lions, and has not allowed a single run to them.

The Lions will counter with Tae-in Won, who is 6-10 with an ERA of 4.94. Against the Dinos, he is 0-1, but has an ERA of 1.64.

Because Koo has been near flawless, I will back a lower scoring game here.

LG Twins Money Line (-172)

The Twins will start Chan-heon Jung to close the season and he is 7-3 with an ERA of 3.48. His last five starts have seen him allow eight runs over his last 28.2 innings.

The Wyverns will counter with Hee-sang Yoon, who has rarely pitched this season. He has pitched a total of 3.0 innings in relief. He has not allowed a run, but that is still not enough volume to back in this game.

The Twins need this win to have a chance at a double-bye, so I will back them to win easily.

Doosan Bears Money Line (-122)

We have an elite pitching match-up here as Raul Alcantara will start for the Bears and Eric Jokisch will start for the Heroes. Alcantara is 19-2 this season with an ERA of 2.64. He is 3-0 against Kiwoom with an ERA of 1.04.

Jokisch is 12-6 with an ERA of 2.10. However, he is 1-2 with an ERA of 4.43 against the Bears. This looks to be a preview of the Wild Card round, so the winner here could secure the 4th seed. Because Alcantara has had so much success against Kiwoom, I will look for the Bears to win.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +464.
