KBO picks and predictions

Sunday’s six-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Doosan Bears -1.5 Run Line (-132)

The Bears are expected to start Raul Alcantara in this spot, easily their best pitcher. Alcantara is also one of the best pitchers in the entire KBO, posting a record of 13-2 with an ERA of 2.77. He is 3-0 in his last three starts, having allowed just two runs over his last 19.0 innings.

The Twins will counter with Woo-chan Lee, who has not earned a decision, but has an ERA of 36.00. To be fair, Lee has pitched a total of 1.0 inning this season, but still allowed four total runs. He faced Doosan once this year, allowing two runs over 0.2 of an inning.

Lotte Giants +1.5 Run Line (+104) (Game 1)

We are going to fade Mike Wright and the Dinos here so to speak based on how Wright has been pitching recently. He is 9-4 on the season with an ERA of 4.33. Though over his last five starts, he has allowed 15 runs over his last 29.0 innings. He also has an ERA of 5.25 against the Giants this season.

The Giants will counter with Seung-heon Lee, who has pitched very little this season, just 2.1 innings. That should give him a little bit of an edge because no one on the Dinos has seen him pitch. Based on the struggles of Wright, I am going to back the Giants to keep it close on the run line.

Hanwha Eagles/Kia Tigers Over 9.5 Runs (-108)

We will be looking to fade two bad pitchers here and will be looking for a ton of runs. The Eagles will start Min-woo Kim, who is 4-8 with an ERA of 4.18. His last five starts are more so the concern, allowing 12 runs over his last 25.2 innings.

The Tigers will counter with Ki-hoon Kim, who is 0-2 with an ERA of 6.95. His last five starts have been even more concerning, allowing 12 runs over his last 13.2 innings. The over is 4-1 in the Tigers’ last five games and based on how they are hitting the ball, I am going to back an over.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +590.
