KBO picks and predictions

Tuesday’s five-game slate will feature a fantastic pitching match-up in the game between the Kiwoom Heroes and the Doosan Bears. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kiwoom Heroes/Doosan Bears Under 8.5 Runs (-126)

Unders are becoming a little more common as of late, seeing that the Heroes’ last 6 games have stayed under the total. Also, 5 of the last 6 games have stayed under the total for the Bears. Head to head, we have gotten more overs between these two teams, but in their last game that involved both these starting pitchers, we got an under. Jokisch struggled last week against the Bears, allowing 6 runs, but I see him pitching a much more coherent game. He rarely has two bad games in a row, so I believe he will be able to limit the Heroes to just a few runs this time around. That being said, I will look to the under here.

Kia Tigers Moneyline (-152)

The Tigers are surging up the KBO standings, having won 4 games in a row and now sitting in 3rd place. They will look to continue this trend when they take on the KT Wiz Tuesday morning. The KT Wiz on the other hand, are in 6th place and slowly looking to make their way into the playoff picture. Starting this game for the Kia Tigers will be Drew Gagnon. He is 6-3 this season with an ERA of 3.53. He has consistently been pitching well, for example, allowing 9 runs over his last 5 starts in 28.1 innings. That gives him an ERA of 2.86 during that stretch. Gagnon has faced KT Wiz twice this season, allowing 3 runs in 11.1 innings. Not to mention, Kia are averaging 6.4 runs per game over their last 5. That said, I believe they will pick up the win on Tuesday.

Hanwha Eagles/Samsung Lions Over 9.5 (-118)

Though Samsung are sitting close to a playoff position, they have lost 4 games in a row and 4 of their last 5. Hanwha have lost 4 of their last 5 as well, with 1 draw. The have by far been the worst defense in the KBO, allowing about 6 runs per game. The over is 3-0 in both teams last 3 games and 2-1 in their three head to head games this season. As for the the starting pitching, Samsung’s Tae-in Won has posted an ERA of 4.63 over his last 4 starts. Hanwha’s Bum-soo Kim has not been much better, with an ERA of 4.22 over his last 4 starts. Because of the lack of defense both teams are displaying, I like the over here as my play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +449.
