We have a full 15-game slate on Friday to kick off the weekend in Major League Baseball. A rematch of the last year’s NLCS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves headlines the action on ESPN+, but we are looking at the American League (well, one interleague contest included) for tonight’s mega parlay. We like the Chicago White Sox, the Kansas City Royals, and the Oakland Athletics to take care of business.

Let’s take a look at our three-team mega parlay for Friday, but don’t forget to also check out our picks on the side and total for tonight’s games as well.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 (+125)

Kansas City Royals -1.5 (+155)

Oakland Athletics -1.5 (+130)

Parlay odds: +1220

For this parlay, we are going with three favorites on the run line. Here is a breakdown of the three legs one by one.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 over Detroit Tigers (+125)

The Tigers will send Spencer Turnbull to the mound against Dallas Keuchel of the White Sox. After sweeping Seattle during the middle of May it appeared that Detroit was gaining some momentum and starting to play consistent baseball, but they are only 5-7 in their last 12 games.

As for the White Sox, they are 8-3 in their last 11 outings and continue to add to what is already the best run differential in the American League. Keuchel may not be in great form, but fortunately for him, he draws a matchup against a Detroit lineup that ranks dead last in baseball in OPS, ISO, wOBA, and strikeout percentage against left-handed pitching. The only thing that Detroit does even mediocre against southpaws is walk—but Keuchel limits free passes better than the average pitcher in baseball.

Kansas City Royals -1.5 over Minnesota Twins (+155)

After losing the opening game of this series on Thursday, the Twins hold a 22-33 record and find themselves in last place in the AL Central. We are now into June, and it is beginning to look like a bit of a lost season for Minnesota. They enter Friday’s game on a three-game losing streak, and their pitching continues to be a huge mess. Minnesota is 3-7 in Matt Shoemaker’s seven starts this season, and those wins came against the Orioles and the Tigers (twice). Those are not exactly threatening offenses, whereas the Royals’ bats are heating up with a .314 average over their last six games.

Oakland Athletics -1.5 over Colorado Rockies (+130)

The AL West-leading Athletics have won two straight and five of their last eight games. Tonight’s pitching matchup features Oakland’s Frankie Montas against Colorado’s Jon Gray.

Montas developed a splitter prior to the 2019 season, which he threw nearly 20 percent of the time en route to a career-best 3.00 FIP that year. He did not showcase much in 2020, but this year he has once again increased his splitter usage. Over his last seven starts, spanning 40.0 innings of work, he owns a 3.38 ERA, 3.83 FIP, and a strong 24.4 strikeout percentage compared to a 6.8 percent walk rate. He should be able to put together a quality outing at the expense of a Colorado lineup that ranks 25th in OPS and ISO against right-handed pitching. The A’s had an off day yesterday, so they should have everyone rested and available.
