After cashing our Same Game Parlays in Games 3 and 4 of the ALCS, we also just hit our SGP for Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night. Series involving the Astros have treated us well, so let’s keep the momentum going. That’s what Houston will be trying to do after their convincing win in Game 2. They have to keep their success rolling after a day off on Sunday for the series to shift to Philadelphia. The Phillies have proven their postseason magic is very real, so let’s break down how Game 3 should play out.

Astros -1.5 (+130)

Kyle Tucker 2+ total bases (+120)

Parlay odds: +310

Let’s take a closer look at each leg of our Same Game Parlay.

Houston Astros -1.5 (+130) over Philadelphia Phillies

We’ve already seen the aces come out in this series, so the depth of the Astros’ elite pitching staff should start to come into play. They’re starting Lance McCullers Jr. for this Halloween World Series Game 3, who could be an ace on several other MLB teams. He missed the start and most of the season overall but has been strong since returning. McCullers led the Astros to wins in all 4 of his starts in September and they’ve won both of his starts in these playoffs. The only pushback would be the fact that Houston lost his start against the Phillies earlier this season.

However, that was no fault of his, as he allowed just 1 run in 6.0 innings of work. Philly had Aaron Nola on the mound to help shut down the Astros, which they will not have this time around. Instead, they will have Noah Syndergaard on the mound. He has his inconsistencies, which is why the Phillies used him out of the bullpen in both the NLDS and NLCS. That shows the type of trust they have in him at this point in his career. As the series goes on, Houston’s far superior bullpen should also come into play. They’ve had the best ERA throughout the regular and postseason, and this should help them maintain an early lead, which the Astros have gotten out to in each of the first 2 games.

Kyle Tucker 2+ total bases (+120)

It was Yordan Alvarez that came through for us with this prop in Game 2. Then it was Alex Bregman who homered later in that game to give the Astros a 5-0 lead. However, some may forget that it was Kyle Tucker who did his best to be the hero in Game 1. Despite the Phillies stealing the victory, Tucker got the scoring started with a solo home run. Better yet, it was also Tucker who hit a 3-run homer later in the game to build a 5-0 lead. He was held in check in Game 2, but he’s too consistent of a hitter to doubt.

Tucker often gets overlooked by the likes of Alvarez and Jose Altuve, but his 260 total bases were not far behind those 2 this season. That was good for the 14th-most in the AL this year, and he had nearly a perfect balance of 28 doubles and 30 homers. We don’t need another 2 home-run game, but just 2 total bases for us to cash back-to-back SGPs.
