It’s time to face some facts. Saturdays are for MLB parlays for the foreseeable future. We have only one NBA playoff game tonight, and while it is a good one, it’s not on until 7:30pm ET. What are we supposed to do until then? Just not bet? That won’t work for me. Instead, I’m thinking MLB parlay.
We’ve got 15 games on the slate, so there is more than enough to find four we like. We can even watch some of them because MLB Network has the Reds/Cardinals at 2:15pm ET and then the Mets/Padres at 10:10pm ET. Fox is coming in hot at 7:15pm ET with either the Red Sox/Yankees, Cubs/Giants or Dodgers/Braves depending on your market. We have options here. Let’s use them.
The point is, today has potential and if this MLB parlay hits, it will go down as a great day. We’ve also got picks on the side and total for all of today’s games.
Chicago White Sox -1.5 (-113)
Indians vs. Orioles under 8 (-105)
Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 (-108)
New York Yankees ML (-132)
Parlay odds: +1146
Chicago White Sox -1.5 (-113)
I’m not here to bash the Detroit Tigers. I would actually give them a “not that bad” ranking over the last week. They are sixth in MLB in OPS over that span, which is a big reason they are 3-3. They just aren’t an auto fade right now. The issue is, they are going to see Lucas Giolito today which is a problem. He’s off to a slow start this season but recently he’s found his form. The White Sox have won each of his last three starts as he’s reached double-digit strikeouts in two of the three. With the White Sox offense also in the top ten in OPS over the last week, it feels like a good spot to drop a -1.5 bet on the White Sox today. This should get the MLB parlay going.

Indians vs. Orioles under 8 (-105)
Taking the under isn’t my idea of a good Saturday but here we are. The trick to this one is that it is on at the same time as the next play, so we can just watch that one instead. There’s nothing wrong with scoreboard-watching an under. Especially when you think it will be a game dominated by pitching. John Means has been ridiculous this season, sporting a 2.05 ERA through 70.1 innings pitched. Cleveland starter Aaron Civale hasn’t been great recently but he doesn’t have to be against a relatively weak Orioles lineup. This seems like a 4-2 type game and one that keeps the MLB parlay alive.

Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 (-108)
There is literally nothing to like about the Arizona Diamondbacks today. They are sending Merrill Kelly to the hill and that’s a problem. In six starts on the road this season, Kelly is 1-4 with a 6.15 ERA. That issue is compounded by the fact that Christian Yelich seems to be back. He’s gotten a hit in each of his last four games and he got his second dong of the season in this series. On top of Yelich, the Brewers are sending Brandon Woodruff to the mound. He has been Cy Young good this season with a 1.27 ERA. He’s gone at least seven innings in each of his last four starts. This should be a long day for Arizona Diamondback backers. Our MLB parlay should be alive heading into the night game.

New York Yankees ML (-132)
It’s tough backing the Yankees but this is a play against Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez. He hasn’t been good in quite a while. In fact, I would say he’s been awful in his last four starts. The Red Sox are 0-4 in those appearances and they lost each game by at least three runs. Rodriguez has given up at least four earned runs in all four games and even got tagged for six in his last start in Houston. Seven different Yankees who could be in the lineup today have tagged him for dingers over the years. This game should bring our MLB parlay home tonight.
